Qualification I. GENERAL OBJECTIVES - to communicate correctly and fluently in

a. To understand long enough speeches, even a complex argumentation
b. To understand news programs and everyday shows
c. To read articles and accounts on contemporary and business topics
d. To communicate spontaneously and fluently thus facilitating a
normal conversation
e. To actively participate in a conversation, expressing and defending
opinions
f. To present clear and thorough descriptions concerning the economic
field
g. To develop a point of view on economic topics presenting the
advantages and disadvantages of different options.

III. COMPETENCES AND SKILLS


a. Knowledge and comprehension:
- Students will have competences of linguistic, sociolinguistic and
pragmatic communication in English at B2 level of CEFR advanced or
independent user,
- Students will be able to read and comprehend complex business texts
(contracts, complaints) and communicate orally, fluently and accurately
on business topics.
b. Explanation and interpretation:
- Students will be able to explain different terms, graphs, charts, trends,
and interpret specific aspects of business texts, describe products and
services etc.
c. Instrumental-applicative:
- Students will be able to write clear and detailed texts on a large range of
business topics, to write an essay, report, synthesize information and
transfer it by providing for/against arguments, write letters and other
texts that present their own opinion on the business topic.
d. Atitudinal: students will be aware of intercultural aspects in business
communication.
