Know all men by these presents that I William Parks of Oakland County Michigan in consideration of
forty dollars to me paid by Nathan Taylor of Oakland aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge do by these presents give, grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Nathan Taylor his
heirs and assigns a certain parcel of land situate in Farmington and county aforesaid bounded and
described as follows viz: beginning at the south west corner of the west half of the south east
quarter of section number twenty in township number one north of Range numbered eight East in
the district of United States lands offered for sale at Detroit, running thence East twenty five rods
on the south line of said section twenty: thence North far enough that a line running thence West
paralel [sic] with the south line of said section twenty until it intersects the west line of said west
half of said South East quarter of said section twenty thence south along said line to the place of
beginning that the area shall contain ten acres of land Together with all the privileges and
appurtenances to the said land in any wise appertaining and belonging: To have and to hold the above
granted premises to the said Nathan Taylor his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever
And the said William Parks for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant with the said
Nathan Taylor his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized of the aforegranted premises: that they are
free from all incumbrances: that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Nathan Taylor
as aforesaid: and that I will and my heirs, executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the
same to the said Nathan Taylor his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demands of any persons

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of February in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
