This Indenture made the twenty first day of May in the year of our Lord [one] thousand eight
hundred and thirty three between William Parks and Emiline P[arks] his wife of the town of Novi
County of Oakland Territory of Michigan of the first part and Hira Law of Leroy Livingston County New
York of [the] second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in [con]sideration of the
sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand p[aid] by the said party of the second part, the
receipt whereof is hereby confe[ssed] and acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised
rele[ased] and conveyed; and by these presents doth grant bargain sell, alien, remis[e] release and
convey unto the said party of the second part, and to his hei[rs] and assigns forever, all that certain tract
or parcel of land, situate in [the] town of Novi being the West half of South East quarter of Section
tw[?*] in township one North of Range eight east in the district of the United States Land offered for
sale at Detroit containing eighty acres more or less [save?] to a deed given Nathan Taylor by said
parties of the first part for ten ac[res] said subscribed land, described as follows beginning at the south
west cor[ner] running East twenty five rods thence Northardly parallel with the West line far enough to
contain ten acres together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, rents,
iss[ues] and profits thereof; and all the estate right, title, interest, claim and d[emand] whatsoever, of the
said parties of the first part, either in law or equ[ity] of, in and to the above bargained premises with the
said hereditaments and appurtenances: To have and to hold the said premises above described [to the]
said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to the sole and only p[roper] use, benefit and behoof,
of the said party of the second part his heirs and [assigns] forever. And the said parties of the first part for
themselves their heirs ex[ecutors] and administrators doth covenant, grant, bargain and agree to and with
[the] said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that at the time of the s[ealing] and delivery of
these presents they are well seized of the premise above conveyed, as of a good, sure, perfect, absolute
and indefeasible estate of [in]heritance in the law in fee simple. And that the above bargained premises
in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns,
again[st] all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part [t]hereof will
forever Warrant and Defend

Oakland County } ss. Be it remembered that on the twenty first day of May 1833 William Parks
and Emiline his wife personally came before me and severally acknowledged that they executed the
within deed of their own accord and for the within mentioned purpose and the said Emiline being
examined by me separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged she executed the same freely
and without any fear or compulsion from her said husband
