Description: Essential Moisturizing Lotion formula is a non-greasy, fast absorbing lotion providing Personal Cleansing
a long lasting moisturization. This lotion is particularly suitable for dry skins and can be used at all Formulation
times of day or night.

The rheology modifier Rheomer33 enables to hold high amounts of silicone oil. The formula also
contains moisturizing agent Mackamide LAME-100 that works synergistically with glycerin to
enhance moisturization while incorporating a smooth and non-tacky feel.
Formulation and Process

Alkamuls PSML-20 (Polysorbate-20) Solubilizer 1.50 Step 2 : Start mixing and add Rheomer 33. Mix
with moderate agitation for 20 mins or until

Mackamide LAME- 100 (Acetamide MEA, Lactamide MEA) Skin Conditioning 1.00 homogenous. Start heating water phase to

Rheomer33 (Polyacrylate- 33) Thickener 1.54
Step 3 : Oil Phase -- In another beaker add
Olive Oil Skin conditioning 0.50 Olive Oil, Floraesters 20, Avocado Oil, Caprylic
-Capric Triglyceride, Mackester EGMS, Ritapro
Floraesters 20 (Jojoba Esters) Emollient 0.50
300 and Cocoa Butter.
Avocado Oil Skin conditioning 1.00
Step 4 : Start heating oil phase to 75C and
Caprylic-Capric Triglyceride Emollient 0.50 when both phases reaches at same temp, add
oil phase to water phase (main batch/beaker)

Mackester EGMS (Glyceryl Monostearate) Emulsifier 2.50 with increased agitation

Emulsifier & Step 5 : Mix at 75C for 15 min and start

Ritapro 300 (cetearyl alcohol and ceteareth-20) 3.00
Thickener gradual cooling with constant mixing speed
Cyclomethicone Skin conditioning 4.20
Step 6 : At 65C 70C add Triethanolamine to
Cocoa Butter Emollient 1.00 the batch and mix until homogenous.

Perfume Fragrance QS Step 7 : At 55C add Cyclomethicone with fast

and increased agitation
Triethanolamine Neutralizer 0.23
QS if pH Step 8 : At 35C 40C add fragrance and
Citric Acid pH adjuster is above preservative to the batch and finally adjust
7.2 batch with citric acid to get desired pH.
