FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Up and Coming at Wasagaming Community Arts

WASAGAMING, Manitoba (August 14, 2016)

This week is our FINAL week of Children's Classes! Call us today to register!

August 18: Deep Bay Presentation 7:30 pm- Charlene Van Buekenhout...
While in residence, Charlene will be working on a new play The Hunt (working title). The final
staged production will be a play that is moved along (literally) by the audiences own sense of
curiosity and adventure, in a kind of theatrical scavenger hunt all over Winnipegs Exchange
District. As in a scavenger hunt, the audience will be split up into small groups following actors
throughout the variety of scenes and settings (inside and out) picking up plot points and
connections along the way. The Exchange Districts dual existence of historic and modern
elements is her inspiration for the different scenes which will culminate in one large group finale
in a participating establishment.

Wine and snacks are available.

August 20: Boo in the Park: The Gallery is under attack! Help us save the gallery between 2-4
pm!

August 24- Adult Workshop: Image Transfer on Polymer Clay with Maggie Ross
Transfer photographs and other digitally printed images onto polymer clay and bake to make
permanent one of a kind pendants, earrings, decorative tiles and more! Many images will be
provided pre-printed, but students can also bring photos/images on a digital device (phone or
flashdrive) to be printed and transferred.
