Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the use of radio

waves to read and capture information stored on a tag attached
to an object. A tag can be read from up to several feet away
and does not need to be within direct line-of-sight of the
reader to be tracked.
The RFID card has its unique id number so they can be sense
and identify through its id numbers by the help of RFID
reader. When the car reaches the gate of the system the drive
is given particular card to get inside the system. When the card
is shown near to RFID reader it will read the card code and
transmit code to microcontroller through TX pin to RX pin of
microcontroller.

In this project, smart car parking microcontroller is heart of

the system which control other peripherals devices like RFID
reader, LCD display and motor driver IC L293D. The output
is achieved by following the procedure such as analysis on the

programming and duping the hex cord in the hardware system.
First the system is tested in software and the tested in
breadboard and finally fabricated on PCB board. The required
program is developed in keil software and also compile in it
only. The working of system is based on following conditions;

Firstly, RFID reader read the ID code of the card and if its
vailed then door will open. If the card is not vailed the door
will not open. This opening and closing of door is controlled
by motor driver IC and program stored in control unit
(AT89C52 microcontroller).

When the car get inside the time in is started to count and
when car is coming out display unit will show the information.
The amount of time car has been parked and total fee needed
to pay is display on display unit (LCD).
