1. INTRODUCTION

The University has been conducting M.Tech. Degree Courses of 2 years duration
from the session 2002-04. The University is also running some Under Graduate
B.Tech. Degree Programmes and some Post Graduate Degree programmes in M.Sc.,
MBA, MCA & Ph.D. programmes.

The admission for the regular postgraduate programmes will be open to candidates
admitted to the privileges of the University/Institute. The duration of the course
will be two years (Four semesters) for M.Tech programme. Each academic year
will be divided into two semesters, each of 16-18 weeks duration. The Course is
running in the following disciplines:

1. M.Tech. in Manufacturing Technology & Automation

2. M.Tech. in Computer Engineering
3. M.Tech. in Computer Engineering (Specialization in Computer Networking)
4. M.Tech. in Information Technology
5. M.Tech. in Power Systems Drives
6. M.Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
7. M.Tech. in VLSI Design
8. M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering

 2. KEY DATES:

1. Availability of Prospectus and Application Form: 01.06.2016 (Wednesday).

(University Website: www.ymcaust.ac.in).

2. Last date for receipt / submission of Application forms duly filled in for admission at the
University (by hand / by post): 04.07.2016 (Monday).

3. Date for updation of result, if any / pending document submission: 14.07.2016 (Thursday)
upto 4.00 pm in the concerned department of University. No updation in the application
form will be made afterwards.

4. Display of Merit List on University Website and University Notice Board: 18.07.2016
(Monday) at 4.00 pm.

5. If there is any discrepancy regarding the merit list, candidate may bring the issue in the
notice of concerned Chairman of Admission Committee upto 20/07/2016 by 4.00 pm. No
request regarding the merit list will be entertained afterwards.

6. Date of First Counseling: 22.07.2016 (Friday) at 10.00 am onwards.

7. Date of Commencement of the session: 01.08.2016 (Monday)

8. Date & Time of Second Counseling for vacant seats, if any: 08.08.2016 (Monday) at
11:00 am

9. Date & Time of Third Counseling without reservation (i.e. for admission under AIC &
HOGC category only) for vacant seats, if any: 09.08.2016 (Tuesday, 12:00 noon)

10. If any seat remains vacant even after third counseling, the procedure for filling the seat
will be notified on the University website.
NOTE:

Application form can be down-loaded from University Website i.e. www.ymcaust.ac.in and
the filled in application forms to be submitted along with documents and a DD of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for
SC / ST Category) in the favour of Registrar, YMCAUST Faridabad payable at Faridabad by 04.07.2016
(upto 4.00 PM) in the University (by hand / by post). Postal delay will not be entertained in any case.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. The Application Form for admission is given at the end.

2. The duly completed Application Form alongwith all required enclosures should reach
YMCA University of Science and Technology, Sector-6, Faridabad-121006, Haryana by
the closing date of submission of form. No application will be entertained thereafter.
3. A candidate who furnishes particulars which are found to be false or suppresses
material information, will not be considered for admission and if he/ she is admitted on
such information, legal action under the law of the land will be taken & his/ her
admission shall be cancelled as per University rules and all fees deposited by him/ her
will stand forfeited.
4. Before accepting the admission, the candidate must also ensure that he/ she fulfills the
minimum eligibility conditions. Fee once paid will not be refunded.
5. No separate call letters will be issued.
6. All the admitted candidates will be governed by the Academic Regulation and/ or
Ordinance as laid down by the University.
7. In the case of any inconsistencies in the rules or any clarification thereof, the matter
shall be referred to the competent authority for interpretation whose decision shall be
final.
8. The students who are appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply for this
course, provided they will submit their passing certificate of qualifying exam by 30th
Sept, 2016 otherwise his / her admission stand cancelled automatically and the entire
fee submitted at the time of admission will be forfeited.
9. If the candidate wants to apply for more than one department, he / she should fill and
deposit the form separately alongwith the required application fee.
10. No claim of change in merit list of the candidate will be entertained by producing any
category certificate / other certificate after the display of merit list.

6. ADMISSION CRITERIA
Preferences for making merit for final admission will be as per the given below table:

7. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

Candidates seeking admission should submit application complete in all respects on the
prescribed form in their own handwriting and must also enclose attested copies of the
following:

(i) Certificate showing the detailed marks in the qualifying examination on the basis of
which admission is being sought.
(ii) Valid and qualified GATE Score Certificate.
(iii) Character Certificate from the Head of Institution last attended.
(iv) Matriculation Examination Certificate as a proof of age.
(v) Valid Certificate of SC/ST, BC, EBP and PH from the Competent Authority, in case
admission are sought against reserved category of Haryana State.

LATE RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS DUE TO POSTAL DELAY / INCOMPLETE APPLICATION

FORM WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.

The selected candidates will have to submit the Migration Certificate within one
month of his/her admission, from the University/Institute last attended.

The Chairman of the respective Department will be the Chairman of admission

Committee for admission and the candidate will report to the concerned department for
admission / counseling.

8. COUNSELING AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE

A merit list of the eligible candidates will be made on the basis of above mentioned
admission criteria. While making merit list, if GATE score of two candidates are
same, the candidate with higher percentage of marks in B.Tech. Degree or the
marks obtained upto 7th semester (as applicable) will have better merit position.
Further, if two candidates have same GATE score and same qualifying degree marks,
the older in age will be considered as better merit position.
Merit list will be displayed before the date of admission on University notice board
as well as University website. No complaint will be entertained on the day of
counseling.
Only those candidates who present themselves in person on the specified date and
time along with the originals of all the documents and two sets of photocopies, will
be considered for admission. Two Passport size photographs of 5 cm x 7cm will also
be required at the time of admission.
The candidates admitted to M.Tech. Programme will be required to deposit fee in
the form of DD in favour of Registrar, YMCAUST Faridabad payable at Faridabad,
at the time of admission. Candidates are requested to carry Demand Draft with
them on the day of counseling.
All the admitted candidates will be governed by the Rules and Regulations and / or
Ordinance(s) of the University. All the admitted candidates may download
Ordinance from the Website of the University.
Before accepting the admission, the candidate must also ensure that he/ she fulfills
the minimum eligibility conditions
As laid down herein and to register with University for admission to respective
course.
If a candidate reports late on the date of counseling, he / she will be eligible only
for the available seats at that time.
