a) Please uninstall the existing old version of Foriclient from your PC.
b) Restart your PC
c) Then install the new version of forticlient downloaded from the Internet , available on
the below link.
http://forticlient.com/downloads/FortiClientOnlineInstaller.exe
Click on Add New connection from the settings button as shown below.
Select IPSEC VPN tab
Configure the parameters for new vpn connection as shown below.
Click on Phase-1
Enter Local ID as 3 and also uncheck the Dead Peer Detection
verify the phase1 IKE proposal seeting are matching with shown in the figure above.
On the Phase 2
Keep the default settings and just verify the phase2 IKE proposal seeting are matching with shown
in the figure above.
Then enter your User name and password in the main login screen
User name and password will be your AD credentials ( username : 600xxxxx,
password : AD password- The password which you used to login to Powergrid
website-Intranet).
Troubleshooting:
1. Even after configuring the VPN client and you are not able to connect to VPN, check your
windows firewall is OFF or not.
2. Further check , you are able to ping vpn.powergrid.in from the command prompt and
there should not be packet loss or excessive delay (more than 150ms for ping response)
3. If issue still persists then change the remote gateway to 103.7.128.146 and try again.
