1. When did UHV started in your institute?

Our 20 faculty members attended Eight-day Teachers Orientation Program on Human Values and
Professional Ethics at PSIT College of Engineering, Kanpur on 26th May 2nd June 2014 and then we
started UHV in all our institutes

2. The need to start HV in your university?

OBJECTIVES OF UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUE PROGRAMME:

a. To help the students appreciate the essential complementarily between VALUE and
SKILLS to ensure happiness and prosperity which are the core aspirations of all
human beings.
b. To facilitate the development of a holistic perspective among students towards life,
profession and happiness, based on the correct understanding of human reality and the
rest of Existence. Such a holistic perspective forms the basis of value-based living in a
natural way.
c. To highlight plausible implications of such a holistic understanding in terms of ethical
human conduct, trustful and mutually satisfying human behaviour and mutually
enriching interaction with nature.

Thus, this course is intended to provide a much needed orientation input in value
education to the young enquiring minds.

7. Atmiya Group of Institutions has started value education as subject in M.N.Virani
Science College. Around 1200 students (BSC and MSC ) are going through this
subject every year. In this subject students are doing some activities,
assignments and also socially relevant projects. We found that many students
now think about environment, what we should do for our society, our nature.
Also with some inclined students we arrange one extra session of 3 hours on
every Sunday.
8. Atmiya Group of Institutions has also started chetana vikas mulya siksha as a
subject in standard 1 to 8. In standard 1 to 5 students go through books of
Abhibhavak Vidhyalaya, also we have convert those content into Gujarati
Language. In standard 6 to 8 students are doing assignment based activities.
9. We have also arranged one session for the parents of school childrens. As an
impact of this session most of the parents are ready to attend full 8 days
workshop, so now we are going to plan this workshop.
10. Yogi devine society also arranged one special session with trusties, principal and
policy makers which was conducted by Shri Pradipkumar (IIIT Hydrabad) at
Atmiya Vidhya Dham on 6th March 2016. After successful completion of this
session most of the college staffs are also ready to attend 8-days workshop.
11. We also translate some content of UHVE Book into Gujarati Language.
