Answer: Highly populated or urbanized places poses risks since overpopulation can
cause pollution therefore damaging health, higher number of people also results to
shortage in jobs possibly creating informal settlers which can end up in a dangerous
environment.

12. Why do we still have a large number of homeless/underprivileged Filipinos even with the
agencies and programs the government has?

Answer: Expanding access to decent and secure shelters especially in urban areas is
difficult for the housing sector because of the rapid growth in urbanization and limited
availability of suitable and affordable land.

13. Why do we need socioeconomic resilience?


Answer: To ensure the stability of the country to be able to function that withstands
effects of natural disasters.
