Dear Sir/Ma,

INVITATION TO THE 26TH COREN ENGINEERING ASSEMBLY

I am pleased to inform you that the 26th COREN Engineering Assembly has been scheduled for 7th to 9th of
August, 2017 at the International Conference Centre, (ICC), Abuja, FCT. You are hereby invited to attend and
also to sponsor the Engineering Personnel in your establishment.

The Engineering Assembly is an annual event organized by COREN at which all Engineering Personnel
(Engineers, Technologists, Technicians and Craftsmen), Consulting Firms, Contracting Firms and stakeholders
in the public and private sectors converge to interact professionally, discuss problems of engineering and proffer
solutions aimed at the development of the profession and the nation.

The theme of this year's Assembly is "Entrepreneurship and Manufacturing in Nigeria: Challenges and
Opportunities for a better future". Various sub- themes have been carefully selected to effectively address the
theme, for it is our conviction that a robust Engineering Profession will be a strong catalyst to a suitable
development of entrepreneurship and manufacturing space, ameliorate challenges and shape better opportunities
for an enhanced future of the economy in our Country.

Attendance is mandatory for all Engineers, Engineering Technologists, Engineering Technicians, Engineering
Craftsmen, Engineering Consultants and Engineering Contractors, since COREN statute provides that Engineering
Personnel and Engineering Firms must attend Engineering Conferences such as the COREN Assembly to satisfy
the minimum requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to remain on the Register.

Beside your attendance therefore, I humbly request for your kind approval to release and sponsor the Engineering
Personnel, Consultants and Contractors in your Organization to the 26th Engineering Assembly.

The Council appreciates your continued support to the Engineering Profession as demonstrated by the
sponsorship of your engineering personnel to previous Engineering Assemblies.

The Registration fee is N35,000 for Engineers and Engineering Technologists for Pre-Registration on or before 8th
July, 2017 or N40, 000.00 thereafter and N15, 000.00 flat for Engineering Technicians and Engineering Craftsmen.
All registration will be online.

The Engineering Assembly has been planned to provide a veritable contact point between industry and public. To
this end, Council has provided opportunity for exhibition of products and services during the Assembly. You may
therefore indicate if your Organization wishes to showcase its products and services in a conducive exhibition
booth at the venue.

While I look forward to your positive response, kindly accept the usual assurances of my highest esteem.

Engr. W. Kamila Maliki, FNSE, mni
