 Vocals Interview with NF about his career, album and more....
N athan Nate John Feuerstein is an
American Christian hip hop rapper,
singer and musician who goes by the
stage name NF. NF began his work and
drew attention by 2010 after dropping
his first debut album titled Moments.
Even though this album didnt have too
big of an effect in the hip hop genre, this
album is what gave Nathan Feuerstein the
big start to his growing career. By 2012,
with NF rising to the hip-hop stage, Xist
Music took notice of him and signed with
him. Xist announced that NF would re-
lease an EP. This didnt happen in the end
and eventually NF took his leave and they
went their separate ways. NF spent most
of his time in the following two years as
a part-time electrician whilst searching
for a new label that would sign him. He
eventually returned to Xist Music for
their compilation album. By November
4th 2013, he released a single titled
Beautiful Addiction. In early 2014 he
got signed to Capital CMG, a Christian
label. Although NF himself is a Christian
he explained, Im a Christian, but Im
just an artist To me its like if youre a
Christian and youre a plumber, are you a
Christian plumber? ...I just make music.
In March 31st 2015, NF finally released
his first studio album titled Mansion.
This was big achievement for Nf as it is
what first captured a lot of his attention.
The album became a big success for
him. His track, All I Have even made
it in the charts. NF began to feature in
other songs like Flames Start Over and
Toby Macs Till the Day I Die. Some of
his songs were featured in video games
such as Madden NFL 16 which used his
song Intro. His second and most recent
album Therapy Session was released on
April 22nd of 2016. Therapy Session
even reached the number one place on
the iTunes rap chart for April.
We managed to catch up with Nathan
Feuerstein and ask him a few questions
on his music and career that we know

youve been dieing to hear.
How did you get into hip-hop?
I got into music when I was like 12 or
13 years old. I was listening to a hip-hop
artist named T-Bone. Then my biggest
influence was EMINEM. I started listen-
ing to EMINEM, around 13 or 14 which
you can hear the influence to my music
now obviously. I pretty much just listened
to EMINEM for six years. It was literally
all I listened to and Im not exaggerating.
Every once in awhile I would listen to
other artists, but he was just such a huge
influence to me.
How do you think youve changed from
Mansion since your new album therapy
session?
I still have a lot of issues Im dealing
with. On Mansion, I mentioned a lot of
these problems. I feel like in this next
record, I go into more detail about some
things Ive been mentioning along the
way. When I wrote the song Face it
that, to me, could mean anything; I dont
know how to face anything.
I think on Therapy Session, there are
some songs that really give you an insight
as to what is going on with me. People
write me stuff like that, for example in
the Therapy Session, a whole verse was
influenced by a conversation that I had
with a girl about her abusive father. For
me, the album Therapy Session is real, I but I came to re-
say this explicitly in the lyrics.
If you take a look at the album cover,
youll see its me sitting across from Leave Us that
myself. This is me trying to show that
Nathan and NF are the same thing. Im
having conversations with myself, like
what most people do in their minds. I
think though to summarise, Ive im-
proved lyrically as a hip hop artist.
