My name is Abdulsalam Amoush. I am currently working as Program Manager (for Rehab and
Protection for Handicap International (DAH) in Jordan. I have always been interested in program
management, coordination, strategic plans, emergency response, and developments. And had
.worked towards this throughout my academic career

Initially, I completed a Bachelors degree in nursing at Zarqa University, Jordan. I sought to


increase my knowledge and thereafter, completed a high diploma in Quality management in the
health sector. Following on from this, I completed the NGO management and voluntary work
management professional diploma at the German Jordanian University. In addition to numbers
of courses and training related to crisis management, disaster preparation, program managemen t
.and developing, coordination and technical health Management

I am deeply passionate about and program Management, and, having completed numerous
initiatives was awarded. I have been work on multi-position such as program manager, health
coordinator, and head of technical unit - senior technical health officer, quality assurance health
officer, reproductive health officer and other related positions on last years. My duties involve
designing and implementing the projects, prepare strategic plan, provides technical support for
health and protection program and overseeing and ensure the implementation, providing
technical support on community health level and community worker, Tracking projects
objectives and indicators and developing tools and set up syste ms, Prepare donors reports and
concept notes, advocacy plans, M&E, and analyze the outcomes. Coordination with external
partners (NGOs, CBOs, Governmental), and strengthening the health system and collaborations
between providers of primary secondary and tertiary care and preparing the implementation,
.Strength the program, identify the gaps and identify solutions

In 2014, I started Doujan initiatives as an emergency response initiative, targeting Informal Tent
Settlements (ITSs) affected by recurrent snow storms to provide basic life support to vulnerable
Syrian refugees and host communities. Subsequently after that, Doujan Initiative began to include
a number of sub-Initiatives that focus on five main categories as following Food Items, Non -Food
.Items, Prevention, Psychosocial support, and Advocacy
Over the last two years, the Initiative reached more than 100 Informal tent settlements between
.Jordan Valley and Mafraq governorate, and more than 10,000 direct beneficiaries
In July 2016, with an increase in demand and change in context, the initiative expanded to
become The Douja Foundation, to focus further on seven domains includes Food Distribution,
Non-Food Items Distribution, Prevention, Psycho-social support, Advocacy, Solid Waste
.Management, and Cash for work

In addition to lead numbers of initiatives on voluntary work in Jordan supporting local eligible
.communities and refugees and integration activates

I am Adopt with following Donors General Electricity Foundation, DFID, ECHO, PRM, SVS, OCH A,
.GAC and MICAD in Reporting
