DEVELOPMENT OF THE CLASS
Lead in (5): The trainee will greet the students and introduce herself, telling
them her name and that she is going to be their teacher for some weeks (Good
morning students, Im Priscilla and Im here for some weeks). After this, she will
ask the students what they like to do at weekends (I want to know you, tell me,
what do you like to do at weekends?), if they use to go out with their friends,
what they do when they go out (Do you go out with your friends? What do you
do?) and she will tell them that she sometimes goes to parties with her own
friends at weekends. After this short conversation, the trainee will write the date
and the title on the board.
Learning for today (20): The trainee will give the students a sheet of paper
with a short dialogue and a grammar chart on it. She will ask one student to be
A and another student to be B and read it. The trainee will correct pronunciation
if needed. When they finished reading, the trainee will explain the new structure
to the students in the three forms: positive, interrogative and negative. While
explaining the structure, she will compare with the Spanish structure Voy a
(hacer algo). She will give the students other set of papers, stick the grammar
chart and some examples on the board and ask students to follow the
explanation on their papers and to copy the examples she writes. After students
have finished copying, the trainee will go back to some of the ideas the students
said during the lead-in and add them to the new structure. (For example: Im
going to go to a party with my friends on Friday).

Systematization (30): The trainee will give the students a sheet of paper
containing some exercises. She will explain the first exercise and ask students if
they know the food vocabulary there. Students will be given 5 minutes to solve
each, with explanations in between of what they are supposed to do in each
exercise. Then, the trainee will ask them to read their answers aloud to check if
they are correct. The last exercise will be corrected on the board.

learned. They will get a point for every correct sentence. Once a student has
said a sentence, he/she will have to gently throw the ball to a mate from the
other team. The trainee will check the sentences and write the score on the
