Football history is considered from 1863, year of foundation of The

Football Association, although its origins, like the other football codes,
is several centuries back in the past, particularly in the British Isles
during the Middle Ages 1 2 While there were commonalities between
different ball games that were developed from the third century BC, the
modern game, one sport as we know it today, has its origins in the
Britnicas.2 Islands

The first British codes that gave rise to the football association were
characterized by poor organization and violence extrema.3 However,
there were other less violent codes and better organized. Perhaps one
of the best known was the Florentine calcium, very popular team sport
in Italy which took effect on codes of some schools britnicas.4 The
definitive formation of soccer association had its peak during the
nineteenth century. In 1848 representatives of different English schools
gathered at the University of Cambridge were taken to create the
Cambridge code, which would work as a basis for creation of the rules
of football moderno.5 Finally, in 1863 in London the first rules of soccer

Since then football has enjoyed steady growth, to become the most
popular sport in the world with about 270 million people involucradas.7
With the completion of the first meeting of the International Football
Association Board in 1886 and the founding of FIFA in 1904, the sport
has expanded to reach all corners of the world. From 1930 it would
begin to play the World Cup, which became the most watched sporting
event of world.8

de The Football Association, aunque sus orgenes, al igual que los
dems cdigos de ftbol, se remontan varios siglos en el pasado,
particularmente en las Islas Britnicas Durante la Edad Media.1 2 Si
bien existan puntos en comn entre diferentes juegos de pelota que
se desarrollaron desde el siglo III A. C., el ftbol actual,1 el deporte tal

Los primeros cdigos britnicos que dieron origen al ftbol asociacin

ftbol asociacin tuvo su momento culminante durante el siglo XIX. En
1848 representantes de diferentes colegios ingleses se dieron cita en
la Universidad de Cambridge para crear el cdigo Cambridge, que
funcionara como base para la creacin del reglamento del ftbol
moderno.5 Finalmente, en 1863 en Londres se oficializaron las
primeras reglas del ftbol asociacin.6

llegar a ser el deporte ms popular del mundo con unas 270 millones
de personas involucradas.7 Con la realizacin de la primera reunin
de la International Football Association Board en 1886 y la fundacin
de la FIFA en 1904, el deporte se ha expandido hasta llegar a todos
los rincones del mundo. A partir de 1930 se comenzara a disputar la
Copa Mundial de Ftbol, que se convertira en el evento deportivo con
mayor audiencia del mundo.8
