out creates stress, and elderberry can help to reduce recovery time. The elderberry
used as a sweetener is great due to its low glycemic index and is a natural sugar that has no sucrose or glucose.

Elderberry has antioxidants that keep cells healthy and reduce the occurrence of viruses and illness. Elderberry helps
diabetes by also assisting with insulin production, further enabling the cells to open so that sugar can enter the
mitochondria below the cells for energy production.

It is important to point out that we have added magnesium in Mito-Chon to potentiate the polyphenols in elderberry.
Magnesium is a prerequisite for oxidative phosphorylation because it is needed for the energy providing reaction in which
adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is broken down to adenosine diphosphate ADP (ATP ADP reaction) (Porta in Magnesium
1998). Consequently, the administration of polyphenols was associated with a higher consumption of magnesium (as we
have learned, polyphenols lead to a more economic production of energy); there have been repeated appeals to
administer magnesium during the polyphenol application to better exploit these beneficial effects of polyphenols.
(Porta S. Westmoreland D, Orland U, Sundl I 2001).

WHY IS SUGAR IN MITO-CHON?

his is a good question. Mito-Chon has a small amount of natural sugars from Elderberry. Elderberries contain organic
pigments, tannin, amino acids, carotenoids, flavonoids, sugar, rutin, viburnic acid, vitamin A and B, and a large amount of
vitamin C. Flavonoids, including quercetin, are believed to account for the therapeutic actions of the elderberry flowers
and berries. According to test tube studies these flavonoids include anthocyanins that are powerful antioxidants and
protect cells against damage. To get the benefits of all these, a small amount of sugar comes from the Elderberry. There
are 25 grams of carbs in the form of natural sugars (each gram has 4 calories) in the Elderberry of Mito-Chon. This is well
below the carb limits for ketogenic diets. So, if you are on a low carb diet, you can still use Mito-Chon before your workout.

15 OTHER INGREDIENTS:
MagnesiumRegulates over 300 enzyme reactions.
Magnesium is a CNS depressant, which means it is calming to the nervous system and a powerful natural muscle relaxant
and tonifier which provides cleansing and purification of various body part. It is an essential mineral and a co-factor for
more than three hundred enzyme systems. Its deficiency has been associated with increased risk of Cardio Vascular
Disease (CVD), Hypertension (high blood pressure), Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Bowel/Colon problems. Magnesium
is required by the ATP-Synthesizing protein in the mitochondria.
Furthermore, Magnesium plays a structural role in bone, cell membranes and chromosomes. It is important to point out
that we have added magnesium in Mito-Chon to potentiate the polyphenols in the elderberry. Magnesium is a
prerequisite for oxidative phosphorylation because it is needed for the energy providing reaction in which adenosine
triphosphate (ATP) is broken down to adenosine diphosphate ADP (ATP ADP reaction) (Porta in Magnesium 1998).
The magnesium in Mito-Chon helps to open the cells to produce ATP energy in the mitochondria below the cells. The
problem with diabetes is that cells do not open, whereby the use of Magnesium in Mito-Chon helps diabetics by
decreasing insulin resistance while at the same time assisting in opening the cells which helps sugar to get to the
mitochondria.

Zinc GluconateImportant cofactor in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It is important in healing.
Zinc Gluconate is required for the catalytic activity of approximately 100 enzymes and plays a role in immune function,
protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis, and cell division. Zinc also supports normal growth and development
during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence and is required for proper sense of taste and smell. A daily intake of zinc is
required to maintain a steady state because the body has no specialized zinc storage system.

D-RiboseA naturally occurring simple sugar derived from ATP.

Ribose is also a major component of Ribo Nucleic Acid (RNA) and occurs in all living cells. Ribose begins the metabolic
process for ATP production, so it can be said that Ribose is a natural body energizer. It helps the body restore energy,
regulates how much energy we have and gives the heart and muscles the power they need to fully recharge.

EleutherosideAdaptagen effect.
Eleutheroside AKA Siberian Ginseng is an adaptagen. Adaptogens or adaptogenic substances, compounds, herbs or
practices, refer to the pharmacological concept whereby administration results in stabilization of physiological processes
and promotion of homeostasis, an example being by decreased cellular sensitivity to stress. It stimulates the immune
system; is greatly beneficial to athletes; has shown to help liver function; has anti-cancer activities and is used as a tonic.

Coenzyme Q10-UbiquinolMore absorbable form of COQ10 than Ubiquinone. Used for energy production
in every cell of the body. Powerful antioxidant. Heart health.
Ubiquinol is a much more absorbable form of COQ10 than Ubiquinone which must be converted by the body (and uses
energy to do it). Ubiquinol is used for energy production in the mitochondria of every cell of the body. It is a powerful
antioxidant. It is important for heart health. It begins to diminish in our bodies after the second decade, so
supplementation as we age is very important. Statin drugs deplete Ubiquinol in the human body. The antioxidant action
of Ubiquinol is considered one of the most important functions in cellular systems. It is highly recommended as an energy
enhancer that supports intracellular function and production of energy, without artificial stimulation. This is why we
included Ubiquinol in Mito-Chon.

R-Lipoic Acid (RLA)More absorbable than Alpha Lipoic Acid; potentiates other antioxida.
R-Lipoic Acid is much more absorbable and effective than Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) and both potentiate other antioxidants.
Alpha Lipoic Acid is good, but R-Lipoic Acid is much better because...it does not need to be converted in the body like ALA
does. It also contains an asymmetric carbon, meaning there are two possible optical isomers that are mirror images of
each other. Only the R- isomer is endogenously synthesized and bound to protein: RLA occurs naturally in foods. This is
why R-Lipoic Acid is included in Mito-Chon.

RLA supplementation may affect health by stimulating glutathione synthesis, enhancing insulin signaling, and modulating
the activity of other cell-signaling molecules and transcription factors. R-Lipoic Acid is a naturally occurring com-
pound that binds to protein and functions as a co-factor for several important mitochondrial enzymes. RLA is a potent
antioxidant. Scientists call RLA the 'missing link' in the fight against free radicals.

Cholecalciferol aka Vitamin D3Turns on health promoting genes and turns off health diminishing
genes. Heart, and bone.
One of the most nutritional tools we have at our disposal for improving overall health. Also known for bone health. Its
deficiency is linked to Hypertension, Diabetes, MS, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Macular Degeneration and
. wait for it .... Muscular Weakness!
CaffeineNatural from the bean, not synthetic which can be toxic in high doses.
Caffeine affects central nervous system activity. It affects adenosine receptors in the thalamus. It affects the nervous
system in many other ways, too numerous to list. We added a small amount of natural caffeine because there is evidence
it can help in small amounts. And we added a small amount to Mito-Chon to enhance the synergistic effects of the other
components of Mito-Chon.
NADH (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide + Hydrogen)Combats fatigue, gives ATP energy a boost and
Cognitive Performance.
NADH is the reduced coenzyme form of Vitamin B 3. Each unit of NADH is capable of generating 3 Units of ATP Energy. In
a very real sense, NADH is the "Energy of Life" Coenzyme. NADH improves production of Serotonin as well as improves
adrenaline levels. It lowers blood pressure and acts as an athletic performance and energy enhancer.

Acetyl Carnitine aka L-CarnitineBenefits central nervous system; helps with energy and fat loss.
L-Carnitine is involved in energy metabolism and mitochondrial protection. L-carnitine is involved in cellular metabolism,
acetyl-L-carnitine can help increase energy production in the mitochondria, the "power plants" of all cells, and thereby
may generally boost physical and mental energy. As a dietary supplement, Acetyl-L-Carnitine is often used to help improve
memory, and has been studied as a possible adjunct treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Acetyl-L-Carnitine may also help
address symptoms of depression; may be useful in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, stroke, and Peyronie's disease.

ChrysinAntioxidant.
Chrysin is a naturally occurring type of flavonoid. It comes from the blue passion flower and is found in bee pollen and
propolis (bee glue). Studies show it may help raise levels of testosterone. Some show it may be an aromatase inhibitor
(inhibits breakdown of testosterone to estrogen). Chrysin has been used to help treat hormone sensitive cancers. It is also
recommended as a remedy for anxiety. It possesses potent anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidation properties.

Vitamin E TocopherolAntioxidant, protects against free-radical-induced injury.

Vitamin E's key function is to modify and stabilize blood fats so that the blood vessels, heart, and entire body are more
protected from free-radical-induced injury. Vitamin E also has some anticlotting (antithrombotic) properties and protects
the red blood cells' membranes from oxidative damage. Because it helps heart and muscle cell respiration by improving
their functioning with less oxygen, vitamin E may help improve stamina and endurance and reduce cardiovascular disease
(CVD) risk, especially in those with already existing CVD. Vitamin E has recently been shown to reduce platelet aggregation
and adhesiveness to collagen, even more so than aspirin. These platelet functions are linked to an increased risk of
atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, especially in high-risk groups.

Pyridoxine aka Pyradixamine aka B6Important cofactor in many body functions.

The health benefits of Vitamin B6 or Pyridoxamine include stimulating co-enzymatic activities, protecting the immune
system, and having positive effects on metabolism, premenstrual syndrome, hormone control, emotional disorders, skin
conditions, cardiac diseases, kidney disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, multiple sclerosis, anemia, arthritis and influenza.

Riboflavin aka B2Major role in production of energy. Must be replenished daily.

Plays a major role in energy for the body and must be replaced daily. It boosts metabolism; Prevents anemia; Promotes
natural immunity; Maintains healthy skin; Helps wound healing; Required for eye health; Protects the nervous system.
And it does much more.

Methylcobalamin (B12)More absorbable form of B12. Promotes energy.

We included Methylcobalamin in Mito-Chon instead of Cyanocobalamin for good reason. Outside of the chemically
synthesized cyanocobalamin encountered as B12 in most vitamin supplements, you would be extremely hard pressed to
find this compound in nature (in fact you would not be able to find it). As the name implies, cyanocobalamin contains a
cyanide molecule. Most people are familiar with cyanide as a poisonous substance. Although the amount of cyanide in a
normal B12 supplement is small and from a toxicology point, viewed as insignificant, your body will still need to remove
and eliminate this compound. This removal is accomplished through your detoxification systems with substances like
glutathione being very important for the elimination of the cyanide. Compared with cyanocobalamin, it appears that
Methylcobalamin is better absorbed and retained in higher amounts within your tissues. In simple terms, they are used
much more effectively. In general, Methylcobalamin is used primarily in your liver, brain and nervous system.

Methylcobalamin is the specific form of B12 needed for nervous system health. Because of this, it should be the first form
of this vitamin thought of when interested in attempting to optimize the health of the nervous system with vitamin
supplementation.

Mito-Chon helps cells stay healthy while increasing energy and making better use of blood sugar for that energy. To have
a product with these capabilities is ideal for energy and overall good health. Braulio Garcia, Nutritionist
