Schedule for Mgt. 101

Online Course Format

Tentative Class Schedule

Peer to Peer Discussions: Students are expected to participate in the Blackboard peer to peer discussion
boards. Initial responses to the question must be accurate in grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Students should then respond to at least 2 other students to receive points. All initial responses and
replies to other students must represent high quality responses that extend the conversation and
learning by providing additional perspective, researched answers or questions (more than yes, no, I
agree or I disagree). Postings must always be respectful. Students are expected to post an initial
response to the discussion question on or before Wednesday every week and post replies prior to the
final due date which is Sunday of every week. See the grading rubric for full details in terms of quality
and quantity of postings.
Course Calendar
This is a 100% online course. Students are required to read the course materials and complete assignments
according to the below schedule. Details regarding each assignment are located in the Blackboard folder per
week. Because of the online nature of this course, students will need to demonstrate solid time management and
schedule adherence to ensure assignments are turned in on time. This requires self-management and is solely the
responsibility of the student. If there are any questions regarding the schedule, assignments or due dates, it is
important to proactively ask the instructor for clarification PRIOR to the due date for that assignment.

All assignments (homework, exams, papers and projects) must be submitted electronically no later than 11:59
p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday each week per the course calendar below. The only exception is that the initial
response to the Peer to Peer Discussion Board is due weekly on Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. ET, with the
discussion closing on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Assignments have designated due dates for completion as
posted on the calendar and as shown in Blackboard on the assignment itself. Begin your assignments
early. You may submit assignments early. Do not wait until the last minute. In addition, all assignments
are open from the start of the course. This means students can work ahead.
Please note: Late assignments are not accepted. If you miss a week of Connect assignments you can
make up most of those points by doing the Chapter 16 Connect assignments for extra credit.
As an online student you need to be particularly watchful of time its easy for a week to slip by
before you realize it.
