Indie newcomers Luna Bay formed in the
summer of 2015 and over their short time
together have been crafting an anthemic yet
ambient rock sound. Hailing from different parts
of the country and meeting at college in London,
lead singer and guitarist Connor OMara
(London), guitarist Rye Milligan (Cardigan Bay),
bassist Sammy Penniston (Buckinghamshire) and
drummer Alex Ross (Suffolk) create riff-filled
electronic guitar patterns to compete with the
best of modern indie music. Combining this with
soaring vocal hooks we are given overwhelming
rock-pop of epic style.
For those of you with a Two Door Cinema
Club-sized hole in your heart, this is a startlingly

Luna Bays first song is a delightful indie pop
track with classic guitar melodies and a sing-
along chorus. With a first effort like this one,
there are probably more pop-rock anthems

MEET THE BAND
CO NNO R O MARA:
Beginning life at BIMM London on the drum performance degree,
Connors dreams of becoming a session drummer were quickly put
to one side after showing off his songwriting ability. A year of friends
persuasion and growing a mane of hair later, Connor picked up a
guitar and started Luna Bay. Producing demos in his living room,
catchy guitar lines and distinctive vocals can be overheard on a daily
basis. Connor has left his drumming roots behind to lead the band in

creating euphoric indie music worthy of arena tours.
A L EX RO SS:
Turning down offers to study geography in order to follow his passion
for music was probably the best decision Alex made so far in his 22
years. Swapping pen and paper for a pair of sticks he specialises in
rock-pop, holding Luna Bay together with a tight grip to ensure that
each song is delivered with exact timing. Mostly hidden behind the
toms and cymbals, Alexs high level of energy and skill is nevertheless

SA MMY P EN N I STO N :
Sammys honey slick harmonies and inspired bass lines link harmony
with rhythm and make him the type of bass player every band wish
they had. Locking in with Alex, Sammy completes a rhythm section
that provides the canvas across which Connor creates flourishing
melodic ideas. Gifted on the theoretical side of music, Sammy is
currently looking into the options of continuing his studies with a

RYE M I L L I GA N :
After meeting Connor at a house party on the day he had purchased his
first guitar, Rye joined the band and Luna Bay was formed. By far the
most energetic of the four and completely at home on stage, Ryes
performance is always eye-catching thanks to the large locker of dance
moves which he executes throughout the set. Intensely passionate about

his craft, Rye never fails to put the crowd at ease and make sure everyone
in the room has a fantastic time.
