MINUTES OF THE 1st PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION MEETING


JUNE 3, 2017

Attendance:
Present: Teacher- 1
Parent- 15

Based on the attendance, it was not in quorum but meeting was pursued since it
was a schedule based on the School Calendar of Activities.

The meeting started at exactly 9:30 in the morning with an opening prayer led by
Mr. Rufino N. Gumimba, PTA President presided by the school principal, Mrs. Almira B.
Aranzado.

AGENDA:

1. Deped Order No. 8, s 2015


POLICY GUIDELINES ON CLASSROOM ASSESSMENT FOR THE K TO
12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM

The presiding officer discussed the content of the said Deped Order including
classroom assessment. She explained to the parents the difference between formative test
which will not be reflected in the class record, and summative test which will be
conducted at the end of the unit and be reflected in the class record. She presented also
how grades will be computed.

2. School Anti-Bullying and Child Protection Policy

School Anti-Bullying and Child Protection Policy of last school year 2016-2017
was read by the presiding officer and reviewed by everybody. It was agreed by everybody
to adopt the said policy and be implemented for this school year 2017-2018.

3. BSP/GSP/Red Cross

The presiding officer announced the registration/membership fee for the GSP,
BSP, and Red Cross. She also said that registration to the said organization is voluntary
and that they will not be forced to pay for it.

4. Free bags and school supplies for Grade One

The presiding officer informed everybody that grade one learners will be given
free bag and school supplies such as notebook, paper, pencil, eraser, sharpener, ruler, and
crayons. She requested them to inform those parents who have children that are eligible
to be admitted to grade one.
5. Other matters:

Grade V and VI Teacher


Mr. Rufino N. Gumimba, PTA President asked the presiding officer on the status
of the teacher that will handle the Grade V and VI class. He also said that some
parents of the said learners planned to transfer their children to other school if there is
no teacher for the said grade until end of June 2017.
The presiding officer said to everybody that the teacher applicant is processing
her required documents in the division office. She assured to them that she will be
reporting in school as soon as she will receive her appointment. She also said that
they will just wait for a couple of days and that the class will be taking charge by her
until their permanent teacher will arrive.

The meeting adjourned at 11:10 in the morning.
