DAC Installation and meta - data configuration

1.1 DAC Installation

Double click on DAC install setup

Click on NEXT

Selecting Informatica installation Directory & Click on NEXT

Selecting Domains.infa file & Click on NEXT

Selecting installation directory & Click on NEXT

Selecting below options respectivelly & Click on NEXT
Click on Done
1.2 DAC configuration
1.2.1 DAC configuration Pre-steps
1.2.1.1 Creating DB Schemas for DAC repository:
Open System DB user create schema for DAC rep as like below

1.2.2 DAC repository configuration

Open DAC Client

Click on Configure

Choose Create Connection & click Next

Getting below screen Entering below details as per screen short

Click on Authentication File box

Selecting Create authentication file & click OK

Give File Name DAC_AUTH (Any Name) & Click OK

Enter below details as per screen short , click on Generate random Encryption Key and Click
OK

NOTE: dac_rep is DAC Repository DB schema name and save the Generate random Encryption Key
which is needfully for DAC server configuration

Click on Test Connection

Click on Close

Enter any user name & passsword as DAC_DEV (any name) & Click Login

Enter below details as Administrator ( any name) per screen short planing & click OK

Enter user name,passoword as Administrator & selecting
Authentication Type as DAC
And click on Login

3.2.3 DAC Server configuration

Re-open DAC client

Re- open DAC client
Click on Yes

Click on Populate from preconfigured client connection..

Click on Test Connection

Click on Close

Click on Save
Goto Dac server instatllation locations

C:\DAC\dac

Edit the file startServer.bat file as below

Save the file

Start the startserver.bat file (Double click)

Re- open DAC client

Now getting orange plug simble in Rigt upper conner. Now DAC server up.

1.2.3 BI Apps DAC Container configuration

Go to BIApps installation home location and go to below path / location

(biapps\dwrep\dac_metadata\dac_client\export)

Past all content above location and past below path / location
C:\DAC\dac\export (where install DAC client)

Open DAC client and

Click on
Tools -> DAC Repository Management -> import

Select (nessassary ApplicationList)
Oracle 12
And check Truncate repostitory tables and click OK
