MATEJ HROBO

Hi, my name is Matej Hrobo. We probably dont know each

other, but I am a former student of Ostredkov primary
school. It has been more than four years, since I walked
among these walls. I am sure, that many things in the
school are different today, but I hope, that some good
things stayed. Same it is also with my life. Something
has changed, something is still the same.

I attended 14 Ostredkova
Primary School from 2003 to
2012. At school I have always
tried to be as active as
possible. I participated in
many subjects Olympiads and
competitions. Mostly in
Mathematics, but also in other
subjects, such as History or
Geography. Sometimes I was
more successful, sometimes
less. Anyway, it wasnt only
about studying. I remember
many school trips ad
excursions, which were
always worth of going; a few
teachers, who made a school
day at least a bit better
and countless humorous
incidents, which make me
smile even today.

I continued with my study at Grosslingova Secondary

Grammar School. It was great time of my life, even though
it was much more difficult. I have great experience and
many experiences from it. I wasnt able to participate in
so many competitions anymore, but I wasnt idle as well.
I participated in national round of Geographical Olympics
It is a little secret, but I can tell you, that I managed
this because there was almost no competition. No kidding,
I was alone in my category in regional round! Thanks to
the Norwegian-Slovak educational project BraDraShip I
also had a chance to go with a few others to the Norway
to try on, how does educational system in Norway works. I
also had many extra curricular activities. I would
mention just orienteering. Together with my team in 2015
we even get to the ISF World Schools Orienteering
Championship in Turkey.

Many times I
thought to
myself, that the
school duties
were unbearable
and wasteful. You
may think this as
well, but today I
am most thankful
exactly for those
things I was
complaining of
the most. Well,
maybe not for all
of them, but I hope you got the point. Time up to time
when I am desperate, I am always saying how gladly I
would go back to the primary school. This school gave me
a great start to my future study, many friends and
experiences. When I recall Ostredkov Primary School, I
am not only thinking about a building where I had to
study, but a place where I met people, had fun, learned
something and where I like to return.

Now I am studying Robotics and Cybernetics at Slovak

University of Technology, at Faculty of Electrical
Engineering and Information technology. It is again a bit
more challenging and I am quite busy with school, but I
am not going to give up. And that is also my advice to
you.
Hello Renata, 16/10/2008

Fishy s body is owal and white.
Fish are cold blooded animal. They live in the both salt water and fresh
water.Fish are aquatic vertebrate animals. They breath trough gills and have got fins and tail to help them
swim. Their body are cowered with scales. Fish are abundant in the sea and in fresh water. Fish are
tremendous importance as food for people around the world. But people cant eat all kind of fish. Some fish

When I am thinking of some funny moments from primary
school, I always recall our school trip in fifth class.
It was one week trip to nature, so called school in
nature (kola v prrode). We were staying in some kind
of accommodation facility near to a big old water tank.
Someone might say Thats great! You could swim there
ever yday!. Well of course we were not allowed to do so.
In fact, it was very strictly forbidden by all the
teachers, who were there with us. The water was so murky,
that no one would go there voluntary anyway.
But the real problem appeared just during the first
night. Frogs. A lot of frogs, which came out at night and
started to croak. At the beginning we didnt notice them.
Then we were like Oh, thats funny! Croaking frogs!. We
clearly underestimated our enemy. Nobody felt tired yet,
we were chatting and so
on, but as the night
was passing, we wanted
to sleep. So we all
silenced and just
then it started,
croak!. I just turned
in a bed and again
croak!. The
croaking of frogs
was so loud we
couldnt fall asleep.
We tried
everything, but even
closed windows didnt
work.
Next morning we were
all complaining about
frogs. During the day
everything was great.
We were playing games,
going to trips and
having fun.
Unfortunately, another
night was similar
and so were the others.
Gradually we got used to frogs a little. However, nobody
could do anything about it, so we just had to withstand
it whole week.
