I am interested in the job announcement for the position of Program Coordinator at Secours
Islamique France in Greece, as listed on Reliefweb.int. I feel I am a suitable candidate for this
position as I have over 3 years of experience in administrative, communication and project
management as well as being bilingual in English and Arabic. I also possess a Postgraduate
Masters in International Development specialising in Conflict, Security and Development
from the University of Birmingham- UK.

You will see from my CV (attached) that I have experiences working with various Non-profit
organisations in the UK and overseas in Jordan, occupied Palestinian territories (OPT) and
Yemen. Both of my experiences in Yemen and Jordan involved conducting needs
assessments, writing project & financial reports and working with communities to facilitate
programs that meet their needs. In jordan, I was responsible in managing a group of british
students in conducting a humanitarian relief project for Syrian refugees living in camps and
providing support when necessary. This experience was further strengthened during a
qualitiative research project where I was selected by the university of Birmingham to
interview Syrian refugees and NGO executives in Jordan to analyse the challenges in
delivering mental health programs.

Additionally, my work with Islamic Relief Headquarters as a Regional Desk Coordinator intern
involved formulating project proposals and reports in coordination with respective field
departments and liaising with various donors such as DFID, OCHA and OFDA. Having worked
extensively in coordinating activities between departments ensuring that all projects under
my supervision were managed within their set deadlines, I acquired exceptional
organizational and team working skills. In addition to that, I possess the ability to research
and consolidate information and accurately document credentials of a project for reporting
purposes. I can perform administrative functions and can smoothly oversee budgetary and
financial management.

I can offer Secours Islamique France my commitment and ability to communicate effectively
and prioritise workload, as well as the ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-
directed environments. I am flexible with strong experience in working in regions of
instability and most of all, have an understanding of the project management cycle including
the Logical Framework analysis, Gantt chart and other monitoring and evaluative tools. I feel
this position offered would be ideal in giving me the opportunity to use my expertise and
skills to contribute to your nonprofit organization in fulfilling its objectives.
