Dear Human Resources Department at IRC,

My name is Rafeek Elmadhoun and I am writing to apply for the position of Regional Program Coordinator,
Jordan in your organization.

As you will see in my attached resume and P11, I had been working for 25 years in various United Nations s
and other International organizations in humanitarian and development programmes. I have worked with
UNDP, UN world food programme , UNRWA and UNICEF where I served Palestinian refugees in various
projects through food aid, economic empowerment and education from programme design to
implementation to monitoring and evaluation and closing.

My working history shows long experience as programme manager for various humanitarian and
development interventions. In addition to fundraising, public relations with various donors and I have an
excellent record of connections with donors and supporters for humanitarian and development work. The
long experience and excellent network of connections made me result driven, able to think strategically and
gives a solid demonstration of my ability of being multitasking.

Moreover, I write and speak fluently English. I have a University Degree in Community Rehabilitation from
the University of Calgary , a Master in Management from Boston University in USA and honorary doctorate in
conflict management from Yeshua international School in London.

I am currently working as a programme manager and senior researcher at the International Center for
Biosaline Agriculture in Dubai, I have 3 years residency, and I believe that by joining your organization will let
me positively contribute to achieve your organizations goals and mandate through assisting refugees in the
region. My academic background and multi- sectoral experience qualify me to be suitable for the above
mentioned post at your organization for many reasons, first I am Palestinian refugee who knows well and
able to speak well about the refugees conditions and what they suffer from, second my previous
assignments with United Nations make me acquainted to the United Nations system plus my honorary
positions which I got as a recognition from three organizations in the world.
