Dear Sir, 1 am directed to refer to the subject and to state that the Governor N.W.F.P has been pleased to sanction inter alia revision of Daily Allowance admissible to Government Officers/Officials, while being on official duty within the Country. These revised rates were circulated vide Finance Department's letter No.FD(PRC)!-1/2005 dated 9/7/2005 and are effective since then. Specified stations as notified from time to time are Hyderabad, Karachi, Sukkur, Bahawalpur; Multan, Quetta, Sargodha, Sialkot, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Northern Areas, Muzaffarabad & Mirpur AJEK, 9 Daily allowance will be admissible only for the actual night(s) at the outstation for which daily allowance is claimed. Where night stop is not involved and if absence from headquarters exceeds four hours half daily allowance will be allowed 4. Government servants upto BPS-1 - 19 may stay in Government Guest Houses, Public Sector Corporations, Rest Houses and Motels/ Hotels (minus five star hotels). They can claim actual room rent charges on production of'receipts subject to a maximum of three Daily Allowances in specified stations (i.c localities where special rate of DA is admissible) and one and a half Daily Allowances at non-snecified stations (i.e localities where ordinary rate of DA is admissible). ;Q) “Provided that such Government servants shall not be required to produce receipt for claiming actual tom rent charges for staying in Hotels/Motels”. 5; Government servants in BPS-20 and above may stay in hotels and cleifn:room Tent charges on production of receipts subject to.a maximum of three Daily.
