General knowledge In Year 29 Hijri / 651 AH, 19 years after the death of Prophet Muhammad (SAW),
and during Uthman Bin Affan rule (RA) he delegated a committee to standardize the recitation of the
Qur'an as it exists today. The reason was that various Muslims who were not companions of the
Prophet (SAW) had begun to differ over the recitations of the Qur'an, arguing that their style was more
superior over the others. Uthman (RA) then ordered that a standardized version be written and sent to
all the Muslim provinces. Five of these original copies were sent to the major Muslim cities of the era,
with Uthman (RA) keeping one for his own use in Madinah. The only other surviving copy is said to be

days. He (Ibn Umm Maktum) then began asking the Messenger of Allah about something, urgently
beseeching him. The Prophet hoped that the man would be guided, so he asked Ibn Umm Maktum to
wait for a moment so he could complete his conversation. He frowned in the face of Ibn Umm Maktum
and turned away from him in order to face the other man. Thus, Allah revealed, "(The Prophet)
frowned and turned away because there came to him the blind man" [Qur'an 80:1] [Tafsir Ibn Katheer]

on her clothes, she said, Enter! I entered and she said, I testify that there is no god but Allah and I

came to him and asked.. "What is it you need, Abu Ayyub?" "Convey my salaams to the Muslim armies
and say to them: 'Abu Ayyub urges you to penetrate deeply into the territory of the enemy as far as
you can go, that you should carry him with you and that you should bury him under your feet at the
walls of Constantinople."' Then he breathed his last. The Muslim army fulfilled the desire of the
companion of the Messenger of God. They pushed back the enemy's forces in attack after attack until
they reached the walls of Constantinople. There they buried him. 69-Q: Which Sahabi put his captive
kafir brother for ransom after the battle of Badr? A: Mus'ab ibn Umayr General knowledge: A
momentous situation in which we meet Mus'ab aws during the battle of Badr. After the battle was over,
the Quraysh prisoners of war were brought to the prophet who assigned them to the custody of

from the Ansar who was holding me prisoner: 'Tie him firmly... His mother is a woman of great wealth
and maybe she would ransom him for you." Abu Aziz could not believe his ears. Astonished, he turned
to Mus'ab and asked: "My brother, is this your instruction concerning me?" "He is my brother, not you,"
replied Mus'ab thus affirming that in battle between iman anf kufr, the bonds of faith were stronger than

your striving is to achieve it, then who could be a more wicked man than yourself? How long will you
live on this earth? One day death will, of a certainty, come to you, so better it is that you breathe your
