Format of Project Proposal

Title: You need to mention the title of your project. For example, A study to determine the
relationship between GPA and starting salary of university graduates.

Objectives: You are required to mention the objective(s) of your study. For example, The
objective is to find whether any relationships exist between GPA and starting salary so that
recommendations can be made for the future success of university graduates.

Data Source: Give the data source. Name the survey or other source and the organization that
produced it. Give the dates that your data covered. Describe the purpose of the study/survey that
produced the data.

Main Variables: List and describe the variables you included. What values do they take on, and
what do these values signify?

Methodology: A brief description of the tools and techniques you are going to use for your
project. Describe how you are going to use them for your study. You have to use some
descriptive statistics (e.g., histograms) as well as some inferential statistics (e.g., hypothesis
testing).

Significance of the proposed study: Describe who will be benefitted through your study and
how.
