Gyproc Plasters

General
The cracks in cement sand plaster are an inherent feature which cannot be completely prevented but can only be
controlled and minimized. Cement sand plaster tends to shrink due to loss of moisture and subsequent reduction in
volume. It is restrained by a mechanical bond either with a backing of concrete which has already undergone most of
shrinkage or with brick / stone masonry which is practically immune from movement. This restraint to shrinkage causes
a tensile stress in the plaster which is maximum at the skin. If the tensile stress is more than what can be borne by the
mortar, cracks develop and extend gradually through the full depth of the plaster. In order to prevent this phenomenon
it is necessary to limit the shrinkage either by limiting tensile stresses to those not exceeding the safe stresses that
mortar can resist or by applying a plaster which creeps and does not crack.

Use of unsound materials, bad workmanship, and use of high water / cement ratio, freezing and thawing, thermal
effect, heat of hydration, shrinkage stresses, structural stresses, alkali aggregate reaction, and sulphate action are
some of the major causes of development of cracks in the cement sand plaster.

Gyproc Plasters are the right choice of plastering for the following reasons:

1) It can be applied directly over the brick / stone masonry or concrete surfaces
2) It is better than traditional plaster as it eliminates the two processes of Cement sand plaster & POP punning.
3) It does not require water curing
4) No shrinkage cracks
5) Faster Application (Reduced Construction schedule)
6) The use of light weight aggregates in the plaster mix help to improve the existing Thermal resistance. (Thermal
Resistance R = 0.07mK/W at 13mm thickness)
7) It is non-combustible (when tested in accordance with BS: 476: part 4:1970), therefore a good form of
protection to the building structure.
8) It contains light weight aggregates which improve the bond to concrete, brick and stone masonry based
backgrounds.
9) It attains high early strength
10) It is a pre-mixed plaster, hence its use has reduced the requirement of supervision required for mixing as in the
case of cement sand plastering.
11) Ready to paint in as little as 72 hours.
12) It is compatible with Decorative Applications.

Gyproc One Coat Supreme Plaster (N2)

General
Gyproc One Coat supreme is a gypsum plaster containing lightweight aggregate.
These aggregates are naturally occurring, volcanic glass. It contains 2 to 5 percent of water which makes it expand,
when heated to a temperature sufficient to soften it.

1) Compact Dry Bulk Density - 650 - 770 kg/m
2) Wet Bulk Density - 1.50 1.60 gm/cm
3) Initial Setting time - 20-22 Minutes. Hence wastages are less.
4) Final Setting time 22-25 Minutes
3) It gives a larger coverage than Vermiculite based Gypsum Plaster, Approx Coverage 75 Sq.Mtr. / Mt
4) Workability Very easy due to softness of aggregate used.
5) Compressive strength 5 N/mm to 6 N/mm
6) It gives a high early hard & dense surface impact resistance
7) Finish - Attractive Marble like Smooth surface
8) It gives you an absolute white colored finish surface.

Shelf Life
Four months from Date of Manufacturing

Precautions
1) Dissimilar expansion and contraction of RCC and brick / stone masonry could cause stresses and at times
separation. To reduce the separation cracks, use of fiber mesh (at the junction) is recommended
2) It is not suitable for use in long continuously damp or severely humid conditions.
3) They should not be applied on frozen backgrounds or those likely to become frozen, before the plaster is fully set
and dry.
Gyproc One Coat Elite Plaster (N2+)

General
Gyproc One Coat Elite is a gypsum plaster containing higher lightweight aggregate dosages.
Those aggregates are naturally occurring, volcanic glass. It contains around 2 to 5 percent of water which makes it
expand, when heated to a temperature sufficient to soften it.

Properties
1) Compact Bulk Density - Max. 600 - 670 kg/m
2) Wet Bulk Density - 1.40 1.50 gm/cm
3) Initial Setting time -20-25 Minutes. Hence wastages are less.
4) Final Setting time 25-30 Minutes
3) It gives a larger coverage than Vermiculite based Gypsum Plaster, Approx Coverage 89- 92 Sq.Mtr. / Mt
4) Workability Very easy due to softness of aggregate used.
5) Compressive strength 4.5 N/mm to 5.5 N/mm
6) It gives a high early hard & dense surface impact resistance
7) Finish - Attractive Marble like Smooth surface
8) It gives you an absolute white colored finish surface. Whiteness more than Supreme

Bond it Bonding Agent

Bond it Bonding Agent - a unique product that serves as an excellent bond on the RCC background and the internal
gypsum based or any other plaster based wall lining. Its unique formula of Polymer, selected sand fillers, additives &
polymers makes it coarse and improves its bonding properties. You need not physically develop the surface by hacking
or any other methods.
Bonding Agent is specially formulated as a plaster bonding agent for pre treatment of smooth backgrounds. It
contains an aggregate to provide a mechanical key. It is used on smooth, sound, dust free backgrounds, e.g. cast
concrete, painted and glazed surfaces and MR grade plasterboard prior to plastering. It is colored green to help avoid
missing any areas, and is best applied by short pile rollers to give a complete covering. It should be left a minimum of
24 hours before plastering over it.

Features & Benefits:

Excellent cohesive bond to RCC, Concrete and other surfaces.
No curing or surface treatment
No shrinkage
Moisture Tolerant
Can be used in temperatures from 50 to 450C.
Plaster application can begin any time after the application
Better adhesion /bonding due to lime/sand powder
Due to green color in bonding agent, it is easy to see where it has been applied.
Higher coverage
Contains fine aggregates for better mechanical, as well as chemical adhesion.
Pack sizes to suit your requirement 5 Kg, 10Kg & 20 Kg

Shelf Life
Three months from Date of Manufacturing

Method of Application:
1. For the surface preparation:
All surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from any material which may impair adhesion.
Any faults in the structure, particularly those which may lead to moisture penetration, must be rectified.
2. For the material:
a. Mix material properly with clean rod & apply single coat with brush.
b. Do not add water.

mm. It enables significantly longer maintenance & lower long term cost in most of the areas of many types of building.
It may be used on wide range of backgrounds including most undercoat plasters & gives a smooth
Finish surface on any partition or wall lining systems.

Properties
1) Colour Off-White
2) Pot Life 180 minutes
3) Fineness 99% passing through 150 microns.

5) Recommended Mixing Ratio 400 500 ml water per 1 Kg of material..

Shelf Life
Four months from Date of Manufacturing

Precautions
1) Mixing of Gyproc wall finish plays very important role in the application hence it should be thoroughly mixed
before application by hands or electric stirrer in order to get best results.
2) Sanding should not be done by using rough emery paper. This may gives scratches or marks on final finish.
3) The total thickness of the Gyproc wall finish should not be exceeded to 3 mm.
