Course Presentation
This course covers the principles and procedures of BSS Operation. It is based on the
exhaustive use of the OMC-R. The course includes both a theoretical part and a
practical part. Actually this course describes the OMC-R for BSS databuild.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- configure and reconfigure your BSS (BSC, BTS and TCU) network, (upgrade BSS software,
backup and restore database),
- know configuration parameters for BSS network,
- create a BSS network by using OMC-R facilities,
- use specific tools implemented on the OMC-R,
- maintain databuild.

Prerequisites
This course is intended for people who are involved in the databuild process.
Before taking this course, you need to understand basic principles for GSM network:
- SY1: Advanced GSM System Overview.

Scope
This course applies to the V12 System Release of the BSS.
