Orders.UsingthePurchasingAutoCreatefeature,purchaseordersareautomaticallycreatedfromtherequisitions.Afterthepurchaseordersreceiveinto
inventory,youcanissuematerialtoamaintenanceWorkOrder.

attachedtoMRPPlanOptions.Next,theMRPislaunched,creatingsuggestionsforpurchasingrequisitions.Finally,thesesuggestionsareimplemented,
purchased,andthenreceivedintoinventory.Afterthematerialisininventory,youcanissueittoamaintenanceworkorder.

Launchtheplanningprocessforamaterialrequirementsplan(MRP)fromamasterdemandscheduletogenerateplanningrecommendationsforallplanned
items.Youcanlaunchtheplanningprocessforamaterialrequirementsplan(MRP)oramasterproductionschedule(MPS).Theplanningprocessinvolves
threephasesfordefiningtheMRPorMPS.Theprocessusestheinputfromamasterdemandscheduleormasterproductionscheduletodeterminethe
quantitiesandtimingoftheitemstopurchase.

Tolaunchtheplanningprocess

1.NavigatetotheLaunchMRPwindow.

LaunchMRP

2.Enterthefollowingparameters:

PlanName:SelecttheMRPPlanNametolaunch.
LaunchSnapshot:ValidvaluesareYesandNo.SelectYestolaunchtheSnapshot.
LaunchPlanner:YoumustlaunchtheplannerifyouselectedYestolaunchtheSnapshot.
AnchorDate:EnteranAnchorDate,earlierorequaltothecurrentdate,thatactsasastartdateforrepetitiveplanningperiods.
PlanHorizon:Enteradate,greaterthanthecurrentdate,uptowhichtheplanningprocesscreatesanMRPorMPS.Thedefaulthorizonisthecurrent
dateplusthenumberofoffsetmonthssetintheprofile,MRP:CutoffDateOffsetMonths(See:ImplementingProfileOptionSummary,OracleMaster
Scheduling/MRPandOracleSupplyChainPlanningUser'sGuide).

Important:YouhavetheInfiniteScheduleravailabletoyouthisschedulerisnotconstraintbased.

Theschedulingprocesscalculatestheworkorderandoperationscheduleddurationsanddates,basedontheforwardorbackwardschedulinggoal(See:
RoutineWorkOrders),andWorkinProcessparameters.Theconcurrentprogramistriggeredafteraworkorderisreleased(See:eAMWorkOrderStatuses).
TheworkorderautomaticallytransitionstoaPendingSchedulingstatus,untiltheconcurrentprogramfinishesscheduling.Atthattime,theworkorder
transitionsbacktoaReleasedstatus.

AdditionalInformation:OracleeAMusestheInfiniteSchedulerforautomaticscheduling.TheInfiniteSchedulerconsidersonlythecalendarsetupandwill
