Dualisacolorschemeusingtwosetsofbasecolorandtheircomplements.Both
basecolorsareequivalent,cannotbedecidedwhichoneshouldbethemaincolor
(thoughadesignercouldchooseone).Lessdistancebetweentwobasecolors
causeslesstensionintheresult.However,thisschemeisalwaysmore"nervous
andactionthanotherschemes.Whileworkingwithit,wehavetotakecare
especiallyofrelationsbetweenonecolorandthecomplementofitsadjacent
color.

Aspecialvariantotthedualschemeisthetetradthefoursomeofcolorsevenly
distributedonthefourthsofthecolorwheel(by90degreees).Thetetradisvery
aggressivecolorscheme,requiringverygoodplanningandverysensitive
approachtorelationsofthesecolors.

enteringthevaluemanually.Thelessthevalueis,thecloserthebasecolorsandtheicomplementsare,andtheless
tensionisthere.Thebestvaluesaretypicallybetween1545.Thedistanceof90makesthetetrad.
