Football Marathon
Mr Groom has entered a team in the Lancaster 12 Hour Football Marathon on Saturday 22 nd July, raising
funds for Tackle Africa, which educates young people in Africa about HIV and aims to reduce the spread
of the disease. The team (Goals-Aloud) is made of Mr Majeed, Mr Ged Smith, Mr Groom and three
member of staff from Dallas Road Primary School. If you wish to donate to this charity please follow

Year 1 and Year 2 are going on a trip to Conway Drive Park on 19th July. Please let Miss Sanders or Miss
Rigby know if you are able to help from 11.00am to 2.00pm.

End of term
Our Y6 Leavers Assembly will be at 1.15pm on Friday 21 st July. Parents and family members are welcome
to attend.
Term finishes at 2pm on Friday 21st July and we open for the new school year at 8.45am on Friday 1 st
September.
Please remember that the children and staff will be working hard right up to the end of term.

HarrisFest - Friday 14th July 6pm-9pm

Final reminders
Programme enclosed.
All children will be taking part and are expected to attend.
Children should not wear school uniform. Please dress in Festival/60s gear or colourful summer
clothes. No sports wear please!
Children will be performing at various points from 6-8pm see programme for details.
Parents may bring camping chairs/picnic blankets etc but there will be seating provided for the
Main Stage show, which will be 7pm-8pm.
We have arranged a band (Harvey Brittain & Joe Sharples Jazz and Blues Band - former Harris
pupils) to play 8-9pm on Main Stage.
All food and drink (BBQ and bar) and stalls will be available from 6-7pm and 8-9pm.
You are welcome to bring further picnic items to supplement the BBQ if you wish.
Stalls and activities include: The Welly Wang, Tombola, Raffle, CLAPA, Good as New Uniform
Sale, BBQ, Face Painting, Soft Drinks & Snacks, Festival Novelties & Henna Tattoos.
