The 26th TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean)

1. What is the TOPIK test?

TOPIK is a written test that is designed to measure a person's aptitude in the Korean
language. Oral communication skills are not tested.

2. Who should take the TOPIK test?

TOPIK is for non-native speakers of Korean and overseas Koreans, such as Korean language
learners who want to improve their skills, international students who want to study at universities
in Korea, someone who wants to work in Korea or in overseas-based Korean companies and
public institutions.

3. The test is administered


by the Korean Consulate General in Seattle (http://usa-seattle.mofat.go.kr),
through the Center for Korea Studies/ UW (http://jsis.washington.edu/korea).

12. Notification of Test Results


Test scores will be announced at the TOPIK website www.topik.go.kr on the 4th of June,
2012. Each applicant will also receive his/ her own test report on the month of June.

13. The testee must bring exam ticket, photo ID ( Resident ID, Passport
or Drivers license) and pencils

Directions to the UW Seattle Campus and Mary Gates Hall (room 234, 238):

From I-5 north or south, take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn east onto NE 45th Street. Continue east
about one quarter mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right (south). Head south on 15th Avenue three blocks
to NE 41st Street. Turn left at Gate #1 into the Central Plaza Parking Garage.
Mary Gates Hall is centrally located on the UW campus northeast of Drumheller Fountain.

Room 234,238 are located on the second floor on the Mary Gates Hall.
