T
he United States Agency for
International Development
(USAID) is funding masters
degree opportunities in the US for
up to 25 highly qualified Indonesian
Qualifications
candidates to study forest and
biodiversity conservation, natural
resource management and related
disciplines.
The program is administered by the
Center for International Forestry
Research (CIFOR). CIFOR will match
qualified candidates with participating
US university partners, and will assist
candidates with various aspects of
the university application process.
Participating US universities are the
University of Florida, University of
Missouri, Northern Arizona University,
and Yale University.
The first group of 13 scholars
supported by the program have
already begun their courses in August
2016. Qualified candidates are invited
to apply now for admission in
August 2017.
The deadline for applications is
30 September 2016.
Tuition fees, living and travel expenses
covered
English-language tuition available prior
to commencing the masters program
Bachelors degree in relevant
disciplines, including but not limited
to: forestry, agroforestry, biology,
soil conservation and management,
wildlife management and biodiversity
conservation, forest economics,
business administration, anthropology,
sociology and gender studies
Sufficient TOEFL English language
exam score as required by the
admitting partner university
Sufficient US Graduate Record Exam
(GRE) score as required by the
admitting partner university
Prior work experience in forestry,
natural resource management and
related fields desirable
