I. General Input-Process-Output Flow

1. Harvesting/Buying-process of gathering a crop from the land of the chosen

supplier
2. Pick-up/Delivery-includes the taking of crops from the supplier and/or the

supplier taking it to the store location


3. Storage-process of safekeeping the goods in a depository. It includes placing it

in tight containers before placing it in the refrigerator/chiller and/or megabox

securing that it wont get wet or moisture easily.


4. Washing-cleaning all the crops in clean water
5. Peeling-safely removing the skin of the potatoes
6. Slicing-cutting off of potatoes into different shapes, sizes and forms
7. Preparing-this process includes the preparation of all other ingredients

together with the potato to be cooked


8. Cooking-the act of frying, baking etc. the potatoes, turning it from raw to

processed/cooked
9. Selling-act of giving the customers their respective orders in exchange for

profit
II. Location Analysis
Being located at Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue Corner Bautista & Finlandia Streets, Brgy.

San Isidro, Makati City, is the best location for the business in serving the target market

for it is centrally located and easy to reach in the town because it is located inside a court

basketball court. It is a newly-opened food park and basketball court. This set of

individualsbasketball players, by-standers, and people who watch the games who wants
comfort, have different emotions and might seek for different kinds of comfort. This

comfort is what our business primary offers to our consumers. We will assure that we will

be able to provide the comfort and convenience our market seeks to provid

Accessibility

Since it is located in Buendia, the city of Makati, access to supplies is easy. Wet and dry

markets encircle the area like Salcedo Market, Satinka Naturals, Maras Organic Market,

Pioneer Street Market, Guadalupe Public Market (approximately five minutes away from the

chosen business location). Cash and carry supermarket, a grocery store is also available in the

area located five minutes away from the food park/court. Raw ingredients can also be bought

here when ingredients are all been consumed. Also, Paco public market and Quinta market in

Quiapo is minutes away from our business location. However, a variety of ingredients will be

bought in Divisoria, Manila to ensure the availability of each ingredient(s).

Advertising Value

We will advertise our products through the use of technology and manpower. Before the

soft-opening of the business, it will be introduced to the municipality of Buendia. We will

distribute flyers and attach tarpaulins and posters around the area and its neighboring cities

and towns. Also, with the use of social media, we will be able to disseminate more
information about the upcoming business. Through promo codes and discount cards, the

prospective customers will be able to enjoy and have a potatotastic experience at a lower cost.

Mentioned above are all the supplies needed to produce and manufacture our product.

Three suppliers near the location are used as options, however, Quinta Public Market at

Quiapo, Manila was chosen. First, because the main ingredient will be gathered here for it has

the lowest price among the choices. Second, all other supplies will also be bought at Quinta

in order to save for the logistics. Although some of the ingredients are more expensive at

Quinta compared to the other suppliers, we still chose to buy here to save time and effort

instead of buying products from different suppliers that would definitely affect the logistics.

minutes; and lastly (c) Quinta, Quaipo is 6.5km at approximately nine (9) minutes.

The third and last mode of transportation used as option is via the traditional jeepney. The

amount listed above is per head. It is computed via the General Manager for he lives in the

area. The 7.50 fare for jeepney applies every ride for each person to ride the said vehicle.

Compared are the amounts to be used in accordance to the supplier to be selected.

The table above shows the comparison of the total amount to be spent in accordance to

the selected mode of transportation and supplier to be selected. The entrepreneurs selected the

mode of private car which amounted to 56.92 to be spent twice a month.

V. Storage
The products will be delivered to the house of the General Manager to be stored and kept

fresh. The projected space is located 4075-A Camalig St., Brgy., Palanan, Makati City. It

approximately 650 meters away from the food park. The ingredients will be stored in a

separate refrigerator specifically for Potatotastic only.


WALK DRIVE

The table above shows the difference in mode and travel time from the General

Managers house to Buendia Food by the Court. Two (2) refrigerators will be bought, one (1)

placed at GMs house and one (1) at the food park.
