Find five articles about your topic and list the relevant facts from each one.

1. According to Samuel Coleman (1982), the main idea about this subject is about the
preference of parents for private institutions for better education.

1. Fact: Private schools believes that they offers better quality of education
2. Fact: Private schools have better resources
3. Fact: The advantages students will get if they attend private schools

5. Fact: Private schools have better atmosphere for students

In conclusion the article states that private schools offer more efficient quality of
education than public schools and that the students who study at private schools are
more productive and have better academic performance. It also says about the
advantages of studying in a private school and about the performance of both public
and private school when it comes to education and environment.

2. Another idea, by Marc Frenette and Ping Ching Winnie Chan (2015) is private school
students generally outperform their public school counterparts when it comes to
academics.

1. Fact: Private school students score higher than public students in reading, science
and math
2. Fact: Students from private schools have higher levels of educational attainment
than the students in public school
3. Fact: Students in private school were more likely to have socio-economic
characteristics positively associated with academic success and to have school peers
with university-educated parents.
4. Fact: Graduation outcomes were 5 9 percent higher in private school than public
schools.

In conclusion Frenette and Chan says that students who study in private schools were
more likely to achieve educational success since they have more stringent academic
admission criteria. It is also included in the article that students in private schools have
higher knowledge than those of public schools. Since they dont lack the proper facilities
and equipment. However the degree of public vs private funding is not a factor in
classifying schools because what still matters is who decides how the school is
operated.

3. A third writer Robin Walker (1998 1999) states that private schools provide
students with a strict college preparatory education.
1. Fact: Private school is safe to say that student who attend the school are provided
with a strong education one that will allow them to pursue the academic college
2. Fact: Private school provided that the student take advantage of the schools
academic resources
3. Fact: It tells about the strategy by examining between the two types of school it
becomes apparent that each provide its student with a premium education
4. Fact: Most popular choice of student for high school is private school that public
school
5. Fact: Many students from private schools graduated in senior high and passed
onto the college level compared to public school students.

The third author concludes that the average score of private school is higher than the
average score of the public school. These statistics proved that private school is
successful in providing a solid education for all the students and the private tuition is
parent who pays for school taxes. While the public school is that the taxpaying parent
are getting their money. Walker said that the private school is a good choice for the
quality education, the quality education of private school is the placement of student
into more advanced classes and lecture compared to the public schools.

4. A fourth source Jaap Droykers and Peter Robert (2003) states that the private
government are more effective rather than public schools in some comparable
perspective.

1. Fact: Private students are more effective in cognitive outcomes.

2. Fact: Private schools students performed better in both reading and mathematical
scores.
3. Fact: Private behaviour of students and teacher is perceived to be higher in terms
of school climate.
4. Fact: In the behavioural and attitudinal characteristics of students and parents to
educational and school teacher like more students in private which make
them closer to good relation.
5. Fact: Private students have good characteristics then students who are in public in
terms of sociological and demographic characteristics of students and
parents.

This author concludes that the main explanation of the higher effectiveness is the
school climate. Also the teaching skills in private and different learning conditions do
not explain differences in the effectiveness and also the better composition of different
schools.

5. Yet another idea from Benjamin M. Grars (May 2011) is that the reasons for the
transfer of students are diverse including divorce, school safety and others. Mobile
students results to lower academic and emotional experience.
1. Fact: Mobile students have significantly lower achievement scores, higher failure
rates.
2. Fact: Students leave long established social ties behind and find themselves in a
virtual foreign land.
3. Fact: Students experience great anxiety, fear, a sense of loss or grief etc.
4. Fact: Mobile students often report lower self esteem and less self directed control
of their lives.
5. Fact: Mobile students confront feelings of isolation and loneliness.

This author concludes that transfer students experience a great deal of stress during
transitions from a public to private school. Reasons are diverse rooting from divorce to
community security.
