ENGINEERED ELASTOMERIC VOID FORM

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Nordic Void is an engineered elastomeric void material that dissipates the uplift
forces caused by frost and soil swell, acting as a cushion to prevent heave from
directly transferring to and potentially damaging pile caps, shallow foundations
and poured concrete forms.
Most traditional void materials biodegrade or collapse under the foundation
following concrete cure. After repeated heave cycles, loose, moisture laden soil
and water can fill the space left by the void. Nordic Void behaves differently;
as ground pressure subsides, Nordic Void recovers most of its original shape
and thickness and prevents the void space from filling with unwanted material,
protecting the foundation year after year.
In harsh environments where hydrocarbons are present or the risk of
contamination exists, Nordic Void is an ideal material as it resists significant
deterioration when exposed to bitumen, crude oil, liquid natural gas and a wide
variety of chemicals and common organic and polymeric soil contaminants.

Resists significant decomposition from hydrocarbons and other potential soil
contaminants.
Does not require poly or surface protection using plywood or OSB.
Can be walked upon and have concrete poured directly onto it.
Lightweight; installs easily and quickly.
Performs consistently over a wide range of temperatures.
Sold in a variety of grades, each designed for a range of application conditions.
