Advantages and explanations.

Remanufacturing offers numerous advantages in areas such as finance, availability,

assistance and the environment.

Finance:
- Remanufacturing a compressor costs automatically less than buying a new one.
- Considerable saving of both time and money as your technician receives a
replacement compressor of the same type as the unit previously used. Less work
required to fit the capacity control and crankcase for example.
- Servicing work is less expensive as it can be scheduled off-season and priced
according to the type of work and deadline required.

Availability:
- There are two possibilities: either the compressor is available in stock, or it has not yet
been overhauled. In the last case, it can be ready in 48 hours.
- For some models, we will need to rebuild your equipment directly, with a workshop
time of approximately 2 or 3 days (for the most common models).
- This availability enables you to quickly respond to and reassure your client when new
equipment is out of stock for example.

Assistance:

We live in a world where time is money, and unfortunately highly qualified professionals
are not always easy to find. Our assistance service includes a tear-down report, a
commissioning report to be filled and sent back, a telephone hotline (soon also internet)
are tangible advantages. The training or know-how we are able to pass on to your
technicians or clients is also extremely valuable, especially when coming from a highly
reputable manufacturer such as BITZER.

Environment:

Today, in both private and professional sectors, a product that lasts and is
environmentally-friendly is increasingly in demand. Remanufacturing a compressor
requires much less energy than manufacturing a new one. Reusing numerous parts
and components is a true contribution towards the protection of our environment.

Services and pricing terms:

Each compressor is completely stripped, regardless of the problem or compressor age, and a
technical tear-down report is carried out at the same time.
All critical dimensions are checked, the compressor is cleaned and then reassembled and inspected
at various stages, run in, tested on automatic test benches, subjected to leak tests, oven-dried, filled
with inert gas and painted.
Various elements are examined during dynamic testing, in particular capacity control.
Motor rewinding is carried out using accepted trade methods using materials and components
specifically intended for refrigeration compressors, and our guaranteed high-quality rewinding work
is validated by a shock-wave tester.
Most parts used are original spare parts; however, equivalent parts of very high quality may be used
for certain models and certain procedures, such as increased dimensions after reworking certain
parts.
All procedures, including rewinding, are naturally entered into a computer database.
Each compressor is therefore referenced by an individual ID number to guarantee perfect tracking
at all levels.
This service is similar for all rates; the main difference in price is based primarily on the requested
deadline and parts to be replaced.
Accessories that are found to be defective during dynamic compressor tests are not included in
these rates.

Standard Overhaul package

This applies to a functional compressor which simply needs an overhaul.

The compressor is completely stripped, worn parts, bearing rings (bushes or rollers),
piston rings, reeds (valve plate precision grinding), as well as seals and gaskets are
replaced.

The equipment is checked, run in and tested on our automated test benches. It is oven
dried, filled with inert gas and painted.

The winding is subjected to a non-destructive wave test. However, as the winding is not
replaced, it is not guaranteed.

This procedure is carried out on your compressor within two to three weeks following
stripping and acceptance of our quote confirming this service.

Overhaul and rewinding package

Same procedures as mentioned above but with replacement of windings (rewinding or

new motor).

Standard exchange or remanufacturing package (flat rate).

This service includes replacement of main components such as rods, pistons, oil
pump, valve plates
We offer a standard exchange compressor (if available), the value of the core (body)
to be returned is already deducted and will under no circumstances become a credit.
The standard exchange compressor would have been remanufactured using the
aforementioned procedures.
If no standard exchange compressor is available, we propose remanufacturing either
one of our own compressor or yours, at our place, as fast as possible for a flat rate.
For specific accessories, such as capacity control for example, it is highly
recommended to keep the damaged compressor on site as long as replacement
(exchange) one has not been commissioned. Replacement compressors are always
provided without accessory therefore it is necessary to get them from damaged
compressors; of course they are supposed to be re-usable.

Options:

In some cases, options are available such as adaptation of capacity control

or unloaded start. These are simply preparations and include dynamic
testing.
This equipment is under no circumstances supplied and therefore the
equivalent parts must be returned on the damaged compressor, or must be
present on your compressor to be rebuilt.

Transport:

Our prices do not include shipping costs which are at the charge of the
client. The prices indicated do not include VAT.

We strongly advise you to protect accessories during shipping, in particular

the solenoid valves which should be removed and packed together with the
compressor.
