Description: Sensory and imaginative play using a cornflour and shaving cream

Strategies: To ensure that every child has a turn playing with the
resources, I will supervise the children to prevent any potential
conflicts from arising.
To understand what the children are doing with the resources,
I will ask them, What are you making?
To encourage the children to keep being imaginative, I will
praise the children and say, Wow! Thats amazing! You are so
creative!
I might also join the children in their imaginative play and
interactive.
Resources: Glitter
From the Home Corner:
Bowls
Spoon
Spatula
Plates
Cups
Evaluation: Ava seemed to really enjoy this activity when more resources were
included. Ava used her left hand to grab and scoop the mixture
into a small teacup, and she was pretending to sip from it. She
then flipped the cup upside down onto the tray and began tapping
on it, making a mountain.
Future Provisions: This activity got messy really quickly because a lot of children
wanted to participate in this activity. I could either tell the children
to keep the flour on the table if they couldnt keep it in the tray or
place newspaper underneath the table.
