Introduction
Company Profile
To study how the management control various departments for the attainment
of the organizational objectives.
To know the working process of the company.
VETO PLASTICS PVT. LTD. was incorporated on MAY 23,1996 by Late Sh.Harish
Moolchandani, TeerthDas Moolchandani, Hemant Moolchandani in Jaipur (Rajasthan) with
capital of Rs. 24,35000(loan taken from RFC of Rs.12,00,000 at intrest of 19.5% p.a. and
remaining Rs.12,35000 was issued as share capital) for manufacturing of plastic house ware
products bucket,mug,lunch box,containers,basin.
From 2015 onwards after death of Lt. Sh. Harish Moolchandani n resignation of TeerthDas
Moolchandani from director position, Hemant Moolchandani and Rinkoo Moolchandani are
holding position of directors in Veto Plastics Pvt. Ltd.
Production was started with induction machine,grinder,mixer and cooling tower which were
purchased at Rs.17,00,000, 50,000, 20,000 and 1,00,000 respectively.
Veto Plastics revenue according to previous financial year was approx.10 crores and profit
generated was approx. 3.5 crore.
Production of the products are generally done according to customer order, it is supplied to
the retailers, whole sellers, distributors according to the specification provided by them.

Functions Of Various Departments
The company consists of four departments namely Production, Finance, Administration &
Marketing and Human Resource Management. The company has some permanent staff
and there are 40 to 50 labors who work on a daily wage basis. With the performance, he will
be made permanent. The daily wage basis labors are entitled to work for 9 hours a day in two
shifts. During the peak seasons the labors work for 28-29days in a month otherwise they work
for 24-25 days in a month.
MARKETING DEPARTMENT
Marketing department is entrusted with the function of planning and executing the
conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas goods services, to create exchanges
that satisfy individual and organizational boards. In simple terms the marketing function is
catered around the customer and his needs.

Demand forecasting is the main function of marketing in VETO plastics .It should be done
through sales force in the company such as sales representatives, sales executives etc.
collecting information from customers. On the basis of this information demand forecasting is
to be done.

Various tools used for marketing control by VETO plastics are cost control and a market share
analysis. Cost control is one task for monitoring the cost of marketing and it is compared with
planned cost standard, so as to identify deviations and take corrective action. Market share
analysis is also used for marketing control.

HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT
Veto does pro-active approach to managing people in the organization. It constitutes a series
of integrated decisions that helps to consolidate the employment relationship and believes that
their quality contributes to the efficiency of the organization and helps the employees to
achieve their objectives.
In the case of production centers, factory manager manages all personal staff and creates a
good relationship with office staff and workers. He undertakes their wants. He will motivate
entire unit as a whole. Each unit works as an independent unit with its own modes of training,
induction, performance, appraisal etc.
All the functions are done in consultation with the production manager and the
general manager. In the branch offices Branch manager maintains the warmth employee
relationship and assessment and training is provided by branch manager in consultations with
marketing manager and the General Manager.

Working Hours in VETO:
Office time begins with 9 A.M up to 6:00 P.M and night shift begins at 9:00 P.M up to 6:00
A.M. In day shift all transactions and official function, production is completed and at night
shift only production work goes on. All functions are controlled by HR Manager. HR

The main aim if this company is to produce what customers want, in the qualities customers
require, at a price consumer are willing to pay, and at a cost that yields a profit to the
business.
At Veto, the production flow draws on three main production shops, as well as support
areas. The three main shops are:
a) Mixing colors
b) Melting
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The organization and its people do is focused on creating high quality. To achieve this,
VETO has to:-
1. Raw material i.e. plastic granules are mixed into color in a mixer machine. Plastics
granules are of white color and these granules are mixed in desired color.

2. Colored granules are melted in induction machine.
3. Melted granules are moulded into desired shape in induction machine itself with the help
of dye.

Sources of Finance:-
VETO Plastics find sources of finance through banks. As it is a partnership company, the
partners contribute their funds to make capital requirements and other expenditure with the help
of banks and financial institutions. VETO Plastics deals all finance requirements with State bank
of India.
Finance function is concerned with all aspects of business operations. It is very difficult
to set limits to the finance function. The key activities under finance department are:
Management of company assets structure.
Financial analysis, planning and control.

Chief accountant works in coordination with finance manager, on the fund flow issues
and in case of any shortage of cash occurs. Finance manager canalized the shortage from

machine Time, idle workforce as there is no power backup.

1. The major raw material is available within the boundary of 200 kms, so that
company can compete easily with the bigger player as the cost of production is very
less.
2. Company can make use of full capacity of production by providing good
maintenance of machines and proper power supply.
3. Company should create good dealers distribution network to make a good
hold and a large market share for its product.
4. Company can reduce its cost of production due to high productivity.

Threats
2. Steel prices are depends globally, so sometimes it affects the availability of raw
material and it is not possible to make a large stock of raw material due to daily
fluctuation in price.

Veto Plastics Pvt. Ltd, a manufacturer of plastic houseware product mugs, containers &
lunch box, soap case and many more.
Veto plastics had a very humble start. At the outset the founders Lt. Sh. Harish moolchandani,
Teerthdas moolchandani, Hemant moolchandani were managing their own retailing shop at
Jaipur in 1984. Due to good connections in the field of plastic manufacturing they decided to
start their own plastic product production company in the year 1996 with capital of 24,
35000(loan taken from RFC of Rs.12,00,000 at the interest of 19.5% p.a and remaining
Rs.12,35000 was issued as share capital.
Today Veto is an active manufacturer of plastic house ware products in all over Rajasthan.
The current situation of company is quiet good in market, they are having more than 100
dealers in Rajasthan and they have just started to manufacture their products in Uttar Pradesh,
Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi.
They provide good quality of products and are upto the mark but they are facing some
problems regarding less avaibality of labour in summer season which is affecting their
production process.

Findings & Suggestions
Findings
The qualities of the products are upto the mark.
Has well trained employees to operate the advance machines.
Workers have been provided with compensation in case of injuries during work.
Suggestions
Workers should get more safety as its a difficult manufacturing process.
Fans and cooling system should be provided so as to save workers from the
excessive heat generates from induction machine.
Annual medical check-up for all workmen and employees. A small amount can
be deducted from the salary one time.
Cleanliness and orderliness has to be further improved.
More Advertisement should be done by introducing new modes of advertisements.

CONCLUSION
The study conducted at VETO PLASTIC PVT. LTD., JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN which does
manufacturing of plastic houseware in Jaipur, helped in getting a wider overview about the
business environment and managing an organization.
It was a general study regarding manufacturing process of Veto Plastics. The company has
four functional departments through which it was operating. It is found that company has a
good working environment and healthy relationship is maintained between all departments for
the smooth functioning and achievement of the organizational goal to maintain the companys
goodwill among the dealers and customers.
Veto Plastics has used advance machinery and up to date knowledge. Production has been
done by advance machinery to reduce the production cost. All the products are upto mark. Co.
is focusing towards maintaining the demand and supply of products even during this recession
period. This has helped the company to search alternative ways for maintaining the demand
and to survive in competitive market.
