vnxe ssd faulted on a sp VNXe3150

Hello,
In the case of a default on a SPA VNXe 3510 can be reset by removing heat from the slot and handing it in place without risk to the VNX?

Hi, the procedure to replace a failed SP ssd is linked below.

(I hope this is what you require)

Be sure to follow it carefully to avoid any issues. If you have support, you should consider creating an SR and have them deal with it for you.

Hello Chris,

According to the above document, you can replace the SSD. You can also contact EMC 800 and open a service request to get the replacing support.

Hi, sorry, your original request was not clear.

You should first try and reboot the sp. However if it's faulted this may not succeed. Have you tried ?

If you are unable to reboot it, you may try to reseat it. Just make sure SPB is healthy/normal and all your storage servers are on it.

Have you got a replacment sp organized if reseating etc fails to restore it ?

No. If you want to reset the SPA, you need to reimage the SPA.
