Two-Week AICTE approved FDP
Foundation Program in ICT for Education
July & August 2017

Dear Esteemed Faculty,

We are very pleased to announce Two-Week AICTE approved FDP on the topic Foundation Program in ICT for Education
in July & August 2017. It is conducted under the National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt. of India. This FDP
will be offered in a blended/Hybrid mode. The FDP will be transmitted live through internet (A-View software) to various
coordinating remote centers across the country. Please note that all the activities of this workshop will be done exclusively
at the coordinating remote centers which are over 194 across the country. This Two-week FDP consists of two components
as follows:
1. Online work by individual participants: Each participant is expected to access the online platform, using a PC at home or
office, on any convenient day and time during the week, with an online test every week.
2. Face-to-Face interaction: Participants will have to physically attend these sessions at their chosen or designated Remote
Centers (RCs). This activity will be conducted on the weekend of 19, 20 August 2017.

Learning Objectives for the Course

After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
i. Identify various ICT devices and applications useful in teaching-learning
ii. Develop awareness towards ethical practices for use of ICT in education
iii. Make use of best practices for information dissemination using ICT

Eligibility

As this FDP is not subject-specific, teaching faculty from any domain, including faculty from management, polytechnics,
science, arts and commerce can participate. Teachers registered in a Masters or a PhD program, during their employment
as a teacher, can also participate.

This workshop is only for Faculty. Students are not entitled to attend the course.

Course Fee

Since the workshop is partly funded by the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Government of India), there
is no course fee for participation.

Enrollment will be strictly online and no other applications will be entertained. While registering, you may select your
choice of remote center (Where you wish to attend the workshop) near to your institute from our assigned remote
centers. Those wishing to attend this workshop should enroll online at the above website. While enrolling, it is mandatory
to upload a scanned copy of permission letter. The permission letter must be signed and approved from the principal/HOD
of their institute permitting participant to attend the Two-Week FDP.
