Assessment:

Task Procedures:

1. Teacher recaps the previous lesson.


2. Teacher asks pupils:
Children, form a group of four
(point to the pupils and number them. 1,2,3,4 sit in a group)
Classroom management :
Teacher says, Boys and girls, Boys and girls
Pupils reply, Yes, teacher, Yes, teacher
Teacher and pupils say together, Shhh.. Shhh (silent sign)

3. Show the power point slide containing a picture of a family gathering and the Subject Verb
table. (refer to 10.5.1 )
a. Ask pupils:
i. Now, class, please look at the screen ( point to the screen)
ii. What do you see in the picture? A boy?
iii. Can we use it as a subject?
b. Writes it under the subject heading. ( refer to SV table)
c. Repeat the steps with the action verb. (refer to SV table)
4. Conduct an activity:
a. Ask the pupils to work in group.
b. Instruct them:
i. Now, identify the rest of the subject and the verb that you can get from the picture.
ii. Write them down under the subject and verb heading. (refer to SV table 10.5.2)

5. Writing task:
a. Teacher distributes task sheet 1 to the groups.(refer to 10.5.3)
b. Asks pupils:
i. Now, using all the nouns and verbs, complete the SVO table.
ii. Add in the verb-to-be.
b. Monitor them while completing the table.

6. Distribute task sheet 2 to each of the pupils. Pupils do their work individually.
(refer to 10.5.4)
a. Ask pupils:
i. Rewrite the complete sentence.
7. Pupils rewrite the whole sentences in task sheet 2 individually.

Managing errors and mistakes:

a. If pupils put the words under the wrong heading, teacher says, opps and asks them to do
the correction.

Reward and Feedback

a. Praise pupils when they answer your questions correctly. i.e. Excellent! Very Good!
b. The group which complete the table with minimal mistakes will be rewarded a sticker.
