STATE PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (SPDC) AND ITS STOOGE ORGANIZATIONS

-Out of the 45 political parties to contest in the elections, the Union Solidarity and Development Party
(USDP) is the only party financially secured. USDP uses that advantage in organizing and persuading
people by using many unscrupulous ways such as loaning money, threatening, and putting people under
pressure to join and vote for it. (DVB 240710)

-According to residents from Dawpon Township, USDP offered to fix and pave streets in Dawpon
Township in order to attain new party members and early votes. In return, USDP demands residents to

May, state that USDP offers to loan money to shop owners, and in return they need to become USDP

-The US government reiterates that the US is concerned and carefully watches the underground
relationship between the Burmese military regime and North Korea regarding the North Korean Foreign
