4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye contact
Rinse with plenty of water for 30 minutes minimum. If there is an eye irritation, please contact the doctor.
Skin contact
Wipe with absorbent paper or textile towels. Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Do not use organic
solvents.
Inhalation
Move to fresh air. In case of irritation of respiratory system or mucous membranes, seek medical attention. In
case of indisposition, seek medical attention. In case of prolonged exposure, seek medical attention.
Ingestion
Immediately give plenty (>500 mL ) of water (if possible charcoal slurry). In case of spontaneous vomiting be
sure that vomitus can freely drain due of danger of suffocation. Give water repeatedly. Artificial induction of
vomiting should be restricted to first aid staff. Give nothing by mouth in cases of unconsciousness or
convulsion. Seek medical advice.

Water fog, foam, carbon dioxide, and dry chemical.
Fire Extinguished Procedure
Splashing the container with water to keep the container cold. Do the splashing to remove the spill. Dont
discard the spill to aqueduct, gutter, or clean water source.

Hazardous Material Decomposition
Combustion may yield smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and other product of incomplete combustion.
Oxides of nitrogen and sulfur may also be formed.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURE

Personal Precautions
Remove all sources of ignition. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. (see Section 8 for detailed)
Procedure note
Report the spill happened according to system and procedure decided. If the spill could be enter the aqueduct or
river, please report to authority officer as soon as possible.
Environmental Precautions
Do not flush into surface water, sanitary sewer or ground water system
Leakage and Spill Procedure
Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Collect the
spilled product into suitable containers, which must be tightly sealed and properly labeled.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling:
When handling product in drums, safety footwear should be worn and proper handling equipment should be
used. Prevent spillages.
Storage:
Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Use properly labeled and closable containers. Avoid direct sunlight,
heat sources, and strong oxidizing agents.
Storage temperature:
0 C minimum to 50 C maximum.
Recommended materials:
For containers or container linings, use: mild steel or high density polyethylene.
Unsuitable materials:
For containers or container linings, avoid : PVC
Other information:
Polyethylene containers should not be exposed to high temperatures because of possible risk distortion.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL / PERSONAL PROTECTION


Ventilation
Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the airborne concentrations of vapors below
their respective threshold limit value.
Breath Protection
Use appropriate respiratory protection if there is the potential to exceed the exposure limit(s).
Eye Protection
Safety goggles are considered minimum protection. Goggles with a face shield may be necessary depending on
quantity of material and conditions of use.

Skin Protection
Disposable outer garments when there is a risk of contact with the material. Additional body garments should
be used based upon the task being performed to avoid exposed skin surfaces. Appropriate techniques should be
used to remove potentially contaminated clothing.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

Waste disposal:
Used or waste oil should be recycled or disposed of in accordance with prevailing regulations, preferably to a
recognized collector or contractor. The competence of the contractor to deal satisfactorily with used oil should
be established beforehand. Used or waste oil should not be allowed to contaminate soil disposal.
Product disposal:
As for waste disposal.
Container disposal:
200 liter drums should be emptied and returned to the supplier or sent to a drum re-conditioner without
removing or defacing markings or labels.
Non-reusable small metal and plastic containers should be recycled where possible, or disposed of as domestic
refuse.
