SUBJECT: Operator Password Set Up

CAUSE: Customers are requesting to have a password set to avoid multiple users on a truck
The lift truck can be operated after inputting the registered password

RESOLUTION

To activate this option you will need the Diagnostic Software and GSE cable

Cause /Discussion:
Customers are requesting to have a password set to avoid multiple users on a truck
The lift truck can be operated after inputting the registered password

Solution:
To activate this option you will need the Diagnostic Software and GSE cable

Solution:
- Go to VCM /VCM // Page 27
- Customer has up to 32 different password combinations
- Check off #218 and click WRITE, this will allow you to set passwords
- Check off # 271 if you want a specific time for the password to reset
- Every password number combo Click WRITE to set and save

When the key switch is turned to the (ON) position, the brand logo screen will be displayed for 2
seconds while the lamps are being checked.

Password input screen , enter the registered four digit password.

When the password is correct, the "OK" message will be displayed and the truck can be started

When the password is incorrect, the "NG" message will be displayed

With the "NG" message, the engine can be started, but the lift truck will neither travel nor
operate

In case of an emergency or when the registered password is forgotten, enter "1111" for the
minimized use of travel and operation

Password registration 0000 or 1111 are not available as a user password

This can also be used for maintenance access if tech does not have actual password
