Outcome 2 Understand the importance of working in ways that are agreed with the
employer:
2.1 Describe why it is important to adhere to the agreed scope of the job role:
- it is important working within the boundaries of my job and to know the areas for
which I am responsible. If everyone started doing other peoples jobs, there would be
chaos or accidents could happen or I will not do my job properly.
2.3 Explain the importance of full and up-to-date details of agreed ways of working:
- agreed ways of working include policies which cover all the key areas of practice, such
as the examples: equal opportunities, confidentiality, data protection, supervision,
environmental policy.
3.2 Identify ways of working that can help improve partnership working:
- communication, information sharing, agreed objectives, decision making, roles and
responsibility.
3.3 Identify skills and approaches needed for resolving conflicts:
- patience, discussion, mediation, calm, understanding.
3.4 Explain how and when to access support and advice about:
Partnership working;
Resolving conflicts;
- support and advice could come from colleagues, the supervisor or manager, agencies
(Social Services, CQC, Carers Organisations). I must know when to ask for advice and
recognize when I need help.
