site plan

A specific type of plan, showing the whole context of a building or group of buildings.
A site plan shows property boundaries and means of access to the site, and nearby
structures if they are relevant to the design.
floor plan

(Architecture) a drawing to scale of the arrangement of rooms on one floor of a


building.
cross section

A cross section, also simply called a section, represents a vertical plane cut through
the object.
longitudinal section

(Architecture) a representation of a portion of a building or object exposed when


cut by an imaginary vertical plane so as to show its construction and interior.
elevation

Architects also use the word elevation
