In this article Haski-Leventhal et al reviewed the ethical and legal dillemas regarding the admission of

convicted felons and study the practices used by American schools of social work. The author use
data gained from National Association of Dean and Directors througout the USA, to troughly study
the question of admitting convicted felons into social work programs. The survey instrument
included question about the practice of asking applicants about their criminal backround, relevant
procedures, reasons for asking or not asking, related issues, past experience and impact of criminal
backround. The majority of the programs reported asking applicants about their criminal backround.
Of course that did not presently ask, only a few (less than 10%) said they would start asking in the
future. This article is really helpfull for my next research for know (Belum). The author show us that
in majority attention by school are proactively enggaged asking about their prior criminal history.
However, they are no lesss concerned with applicants rights, the law, fear of lawsuit, university
policy and the need to give some people second chance. But this review of the subject yielded only
in british and american source. But this article give us concerned how we must treat ex-conficts for
their second chance, for the brighter future. Krg no 8 dan 9 beauty
