Abstrac t: T he ach ievements o f modern sty listics o ffer great insp iration to transla tion stud ies. Based on prev ious studies, th is
paper beg ins w ith the re lationship between sty le and transla tion and attem pts to form ulate a framewo rk of corpus-based transla-
tiona l stylistics. W ith the he lp of co rpus softw are, th is fram ework adopts an in teg ra ted mode o f inter- language and inner- lan-
guage compar isons and tr ies to quantitive ly descr ibe, ana ly ze and explain the sty listic features o f d iffe rent types o f trans lationa l
tex ts in term s o f linguistic form s and modes of lite rary narration. T he author be lieves that th is approach w ill find causes for the
d ifferences betw een transla ted and or ig inal tex ts and further revea l the nature of translation.
