Summary n 1

Robert Langdon saw a woman in the river, who was wearing a veil. She was raising honour
of corpses which were at her feet. Langdon tried to approach but when he raised his eyes he
saw the bodies at her feet had multiplied doing horrors cries. The woman saw him and
began to shine and exploded into particles of light until disappeared. Now Langdon was in
the hospital, but he didnt know how he arrived there. The doctors enter to the room and Dr.
Sienna Brooks started to ask questions to know information because he had not
identification when he arrived at night. They mentioned to him that he was mumbling some
words, but the only thing that Langdon remembered was a veiled woman surrounded by
corpses. In the darkness of the room, he tried to sit up but it was difficult for him to move his
body easily but as soon as he could move he escaped of the hospital. Outside, a woman
was looking the room where Langdon was.

Next day, Langdon woke up but he was in the hospital again. Dr. Brooks tried to calm him
but he was confused. Then, Langdon heard a voice, it was Dr. Marconi, an Italian doctor.
The doctors inform to Langdon that someone wanted to visit him but it was something weird
because they didnt register in the system yet. Whilst Dr. Brooks admitted to Langdon that he
had a wound in his skull generated by a bullet, a woman entered to the room. Dr. Marconi
tried to stop her but she shot him in his chest. Vayentha, the woman that shot Dr. Marconi
was a killer, who served to a powerful provost owner of a luxury yacht. She was waiting for
the provost but he failed the mission.

Summary 2
Dr. Marconis body was on the floor whilst Langdon raised his eyes to the assassin who
swung her weapon in direction of Langdons head but Dr. Brooks threw herself against it and
turned the lock and she pull Langdon to escape. Then, they arrived along a dark alley from
the building. Dr. Brooks desperately started to scream until to get a taxi. the taxi moved to
them and when they entered Vayentha and a man were stumble into the cab. They wanted
to kill Langdon, but the taxi driver sped up to avoid Vayenthas aim. Vayentha failed her
mission again and she called the provost to inform that Langdon had escaped. The provost
sat down at his desk silently for a long time. Despite of Langdon had jumped to his death
again, the Consortium decided to follow through without question.
On the other side, Dr. Brooks led Langdon to a tiny elevator and yanked open a folding door.
she pushed a button and a series of tired gears clunked and whirred into motion. He saw a
bandage in his forearm, closed his eyes and he remembered the veiled woman.
When they arrived at the end of the hall Dr. Brooks unlocked a door of a tiny apartment. She
grabbed Langdons arm with one hand and opened a cabinet with the other where she took
out the bottle and six caplets to help Langdon to counteract the sedative. Then, she removed
the bandage and examined the wound. Langdon wanted to call somebody to help him but
Dr. Brooks advised him if he called he would be more alert than he was now. She led him in
a gloomy bathroom and Langdon started to remember the delirious mumblings. He stared
into his own weary eyes and he wished to wake up in his reading chair at home.

Summary 3

Langdon took his hospital gown off and wrapped a towel around his waist. He was trying to
remember everything about events that had happened for that reason he wanted to investigate
by himself surfing on the internet and looking for his name to find information but he didnt
find anything recent. Langdon shut down the computer and saw a photograph on the corner of
Siennas desk (Dr. Brooks). the snapshot was of sienna and Dr. Marconi who were laughing.
He also noticed with surprise the yellow booklet on topa tattered playbill from the London
Globe Theatre. He stared at a cast photo of a young girl actor portraying Shakespeare called
Sienna Brooks a child theatre who could memorize every characters line in a single night.
He picked another clipping, and all of them showed her as a prodigy girl. In his darkness,
Langdon still had the visions of the veiled woman but he had the necessity to help her but a
voice in the sky above this woman said: I am death! He was still seated at Siennas desk
when the phone rang. Someone left her a sound message which indicated that Dr. Marconi
had death and police were there looking for her because they had wrong information about
her. When she came back to the apartment she listened the message whilst Langdon went to
the bathroom. She went to the bathroom and told him that they had to talk. She came until her
bedroom and pulled down the wig from her bald scalp. She knew that tears would run down
of her face but she had no choice to let them go. Then she put the wig again

On the other side, the Mendacium, facilitator Laurence Knowlton sat on his glass cubicle
trying to understand a video that a client had left. He always understood the motives and the
desire but this video was baffling. the video began with the soft lapping of water in the eerie
water-filled cavern. Then he put lighter and a new image appeared, it was a shadow of a man,
who had a long beak like bird, and was speaking a kind of classical chorus. Knowlton sat
motionless.

Summary 4

Sienna asked questions to Langdon about him and the events to know how the amnesia was
and discard any damage. He asked all the questions and she confirmed that the amnesia was
fully retrograde. Langdon realized that Sienna wanted to give him some bad news and finally,
she told him about an unusual object that he had in his jackets pocket. He immediately
checked his jacket but he didnt find anything inside but Sienna found a secret pocket where
she extracted a sleek metal object. Langdon had never seen that pocket there before. On the
other side, the facilitator Knowlton felt an increasing disquiet as he considered the video he
was supposed to share with the world. He had two options either prepare the video for
tomorrow or go to the provost for a second opinion.

Meanwhile, Langdon and Sienna were observing the strange object and Langdon refocused
on the tube which turn it his hands until a bright red symbol rolled. Sienna told him that the
little canister was a biotube to transport dangerous substances. Besides. She pointed that the
first ebola samples were brought back in a similar tube. Langdon was worried about the
object and he didnt know how the object appeared in his jacket. Then, He told Sienna that he
had to call the consulate but Sienna told him if he made the call she couldnt be involved in
that event anymore because of her immigration. He was grateful of her but he continued
thinking in calling the consulate. Sienna remembered him the consequences but he called the
consulate to finish with this nightmare. Mr. Collins answered the call immediately and they
arranged a meeting in the hotel where Langdon was and he advised to Langdon not to move
of the hotel. Langdon felt guilty because he had ruined Siennas life and she saved him of the
chaos. Sienna was so sad, she realized that she was attracted to this professor. Suddenly she
saw someone outside the window, it was Vayentha who was waiting to kill Langdon and
Sienna whispered to Langdon: The u.s Government sent someone to kill you.

Summary 5

Langdon felt a swell of panic. He couldnt understand how Vayentha had gotten the address.
Sienna advised him to open the biotube because could save him to die. Langdon thought how
to open it but their surprise they found an object inside the biotube. They visualized the
object and they saw an old cylinder seal there which contained an especially gruesome
carving of a three-headed, horned Satan who was in the process of eating three different men
at once, one man in each of his three mouths. Then he saw a text written behind the devil
which said: Saligia, un acronym of the seven deadly sins. Suddenly something strange
appeared in the cylinder and started to shine. Langdon believed that the object was a faraday
pointer but it was a projector which showed different pictures of death. He recognized one of
the picture of a famous painting.

Across the street, Vayentha quietly climbed a service staircase. Langdon had provided
a non-existent room number and a fake meeting place to his consulate contact. Meanwhile the
analysts told the provost that Langdon had acceded to his Harvard email and now his IP
address was localized.

Langdon told Sienna that the painting was Dantes inferno, his own vision of the hell.
They analysed the picture and made comparisons with Langdons hallucinations and he
realized that that the painting had been modified. She indicated one of the many characters in
the painting, and Langdon felt horror when he saw a cloaked man in a mask. Suddenly she
heard a sound and saw a group of men. The agent Brder ordered the men to enter the
apartment whilst he was contacting with the person in charge that he had found Langdon.
Meanwhile Vayentha called the provost to said that the SRT team was there, but the
Consortium had finish all ties with her. She had to accept that.

Summary 6

Sienna ran ahead pas the elevator until disappear in the stairwell whilst Langdon followed
close behind her. They heard sound of footsteps near them therefore Sienna tried to act like
an old woman to mislead the men who were looking for Langdon. The men didnt find
anything unusual and disappeared up the stairs. Then, Sienna stopped at a silver trike and put
the key to accelerate the engine whilst Langdon was behind her on the bike. A soldier saw
them and tried to shoot them. Suddenly, a sleek black van follows them. Langdon realized
that inside the van there was an old woman with an amulet, it was the woman from his
visions.

On the other hand, the provost moved his eyes to a gift from a client. The provost
remembered how had been to be in contact with this man and the services that he had to
fulfil. One of the things that the provost had to do was to deliver a sealed envelope to a silver-
haired woman in the date circled. When the day arrived, the client had passed away and the
provost delivered the content to the woman. then, the provost gave an envelope with the safe-
deposit box codes to Vayentha who had travelled to Florence to recover the object inside but
this wasn't possible because the content of box had been removed three days ago. The
facilitator Knowlton, marked his planner with a confirmed task as requested by the client, he
would upload the video file to the media.

Meanwhile Langdon told Sienna that they had to go to the old city of Florence to hide and
looking for answers. Langdon was versed in Dantes work that had given a lecture two year
ago therefore he asked to speak at a major event hosted by one of the worlds oldest Dante
societies. During the lecture, He took about Dantes life, works and showed images and
portraits which he analysed as an introduction. Finally, he presented the theme which was
symbols of the hell. The audience was surprised and Sienna told Langdon that they had a
problem.
